Ohhhhhhhhh! I guess I haven't hovered over a spam email until now. Wow... I saw the pictures but not the profile info!

So the other part of my answer is still.... I love it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Also, I can no longer use the spell checker in my google toolbar…grrrrrrr

It's not quite the same, but you might try installing ieSpell – that is designed to work with the spell check feature included with the TinyMCE editor apparently now being used. Note that I'm assuming you are using Internet Explorer; ieSpell only works with IE… but the other major browsers come with spell checking already included. I'm not sure exactly what's causing the problem, but it seems like the Google Toolbar checks the "To:" field rather than the message body. It might be something that could eventually be fixed…

I think they have really messed up the email system here. I can see all the code in emails I receive and the emails I send and my emoticons I usually put at the end of the emails are showing as code now. Also, I can no longer use the spell checker in my google toolbar...grrrrrrr

Same thing happened with mine, in letters I received. Long letters all jumbled up with code. I took it to a Word Document thingy and deleted out the code bit by bit till my brain could handle reading the letter, lol. Now this is the aggravatingly funny part...when I hit reply and looked up at the letter that was sent to me, the code stuff was all gone and it was perfection itself. Arrrgh, lol.

Awful to say, but I'm glad it's not just me.

Now...has anyone else had an apostrophe glitch for months in their mail room? ' showing up in place of an apostrophe?

Come on someone, make my day...misery loves company. The glitch doesn't show up in letters I send to Support or to a mod, or in the message boards. I'm lucky that some people I exchange letters with think my substitution of * for apostrophes is a quirk I have.

I, for one, would like to offer my thanks for implementing the new editor; it's a pleasant surprise to not be as much of a second-class citizen compared with the IE users here… :)

Though, out of curiosity, were the simpler methods to create hyperlinks in TinyMCE left out intentionally?

Thank you, shallowdeep.

I saved that link for my next computer to download, as this brat computer refuses to download squat.
<glares at her WindowsME>

To Mod21...yesssss, I noticed that new hover feature right after it happened. I was hovering the mouse trying to discover which letter to open first and I saw most of the letter without clicking on it. Some guy who lives very close by kept sending letters recently and thought it was funny to unsend them. I had over half a dozen of these...that hover feature let me read every word of those short unsent letters.

Thanks for all the info Shallowdeep...I figured out about ieSpell this morning before I read the rest of this thread and that works for me but I still like the google spellchecker best! The google one still works here in the forums though.

Cynthia,
I have noticed the apostrophe problem too for a few weeks but not sure it still does that since they changed how the email works here the last day or so.

I have also found that I can no longer modify a sent email if it hasn't been read yet which was an available option before. The modify button is there but I can't type in an already sent email.

On the other side I have found I can no longer respond to messages sent to me. If I click reply I get a text box that I type in, and am then told that I can't send a blank message.

I'm having to go to people's profiles to send them messages. It's not a huge thing, but it does add more hassle to communicating and also messes up the tracking feature for mail sent back and forth.

I wanted to know if I am the only person this is happening to, and also if there is a way to alert a Mod.

I have also found I can no longer respond to messages from you either.

I'm sorry....I just can't do it any longer.

I meant well....but I just can't do it.

I apologize.

If you want something even more amusing, click the little envelope that says "view message history" that is next to the unsent letter, and it will show the message history including the contents of the unsent letter. You could copy and paste that into your message that you send back.

I keep hearing about unsending email but have no idea how to do it. Can anyone explain in words under one syllable please.

Des...You can only unsend an email that hasn't been read yet. If you don't want the contents read I think you have to go into the sent email first and delete the contents and then hit the modify button or it will still show up if they reply to an email and see all the past emails below the one they are replying to. I am not sure if this step is necessary but I think I still saw an email I unsent in the past which I didn't modify and delete the contents of before in the past.

To unsend an email you go to your list of sent emails and there is a box to the left that you can check. You check the appropriate email and then you hit the button above all your sent emails that says "Unsend"...I am not looking at the page right now but that is how I recall it.

Shahar, here is the support link, if still needed. It can be found at the very
bottom - center of the page, along with a few other blue links.
of the page under the http://www.collarme.com/personals/support.htm

I was able to find it but either way, typing out the message has a small to read font. Hence the magnifying glass.

Too late to edit and add to my other post...but...

That apostrophe glitch from H that I've had to deal with for so many months, AND that was here even yesterday in my mailbox...is gone today!

For whoever took care of that...
