The only thing I can think to add is an enema is not needed for general anal sex. "Crap" sits far deeper down then most men actually reach. So unless you're super well endowed or using other toys it's a non-issue or should I say crap would be more incidental in those areas and an enema or not could still be there.
I love anal but I'll know if things are a little messier then normal back there and warn someone off that day.
I just find enemas tend to mess you up and prefer to only use them when there will be more hardcore play then doing the nasty.

Never been into the enema thing Myself, either as a sub or as a Domme who likes doing anal play with subby boys. I figure that's just gonna loosen everything up! 1. If you're gonna put your cock where the shit comes out.. you're gonna eventually get some shit on it. The good news here is that skin is wash & dry.
2. Yes, it's reasonable. Yes, depending on how carefully and thoroughly it's done it works. To me, more often than not, it's way more hassle than it's worth. If I want to take Carol's ass, I generally want it now, not after some long production.
