I’m not sure where to post this. If not here, please tell me where or move the topic.

  We are revamping a community-based site that offers free information. We are looking for articles. We pay for these exclusive and non-exclusive. We are looking for the following;

1: Educational – articles on bdsm safety, how to, tips, tricks, etc. These should be concise and well formed. Male Dom, femdom,  sub, fetishist. It is a pansexual venue catering to all people interested in sexual alternatives. I would really love to find a few couples willing to take step-by-step pictures for educational articles. Too often there are great articles but difficult to follow. If not pictures good illustrations.

2: Gorean Series – I admit I don’t know much about this but I am looking for someone who does who can write a series of informative articles. Please send me an outline and sample of your writing style.

3: Encyclopedia’s – I know there are a ton out there but I am looking for work ongoing under my direction. Easy search and format. Not just one Encyclopedia but there could be several- BDSM General, Gay/Lesbian Leather, Gorean Encyclopedia, and I’m open to suggestions.

4: Photos – I’m not looking for the typical adult sex site content but real couples sharing experiences. Sane, romantic and loving play.

5: Interviews & profiles: real people living and playing in the lifestyle sharing experiences. These must have photos, nothing hardcore and can be somewhat disguised as long as the photos are tasteful.

Please private message me for my email. I will need releases for all work & you must own it. Please be ready to submit samples or your work.
  Thanks,   GDV

I imagine to keep it, the actual link would have to go to scene related links.

Please do, and tell us.

Thank you. It is now in my sig. othersex.com , however the current site is down and we are uploading the scripts for the new community. Orginally the site was a test site for a client & I was just toying around with it. Now we've revamped the scripts, added many features & I am in touch with many scene folks who will also contribute.

Oh if you go there is a closed sign but a signup box if you want to be updated. We will open sometime in May, I hope.

I love the logo for Other Sex. It's a symbol from the I-Ching that means Clan/family - we have some really cool t-shirts with that and other types of artwork. We have contest where you can win them. I'm excited about the whole project.

I don't often say this but after reading your site offering services for fees and what is clearly a commercial enterprise you are now trying to create a site that will be controlled by you to legitimize yourself and to attempt to lay claim to status so you can charge more from an even wider audience.

I rarely condemn things but I hope this creation dies a quick and rapid death.  There are plenty of sites like what you are proposing that are run by sincere people who's motives are not lining their retirement accounts.

I looked at your website and there are no links to real world bdsm groups, no links to help people find actual local groups where they could meet someone other than someone who will be charging them for their time.

This is a scam and I am surprised others haven't already called you on it.

Oh stop it. The site is free. The information is free. Of course we have sponsors and advertisements. How esle would we pay for bandwidth, writers, photograhers & programmers?

Am I in the adult business. Hell yeah! have been for many moons. Should a writer get paid for his/her work? Is Other Sex free, yes it is. If you have a problem with how we operate just don't go there.

Oh had to address this too. How could you go to my site when its not open? Had you been to the site when it was open you would have seen that a) its free b) it has great eductional articles c) personals, forums, etc. ARE operated by lifestyle people NOT professionals unless they are writers & educators WE PAY to provide FREE information to people who seek it.

read the post. We're just looking for writers, that it. We have a great following already and have for years since 1989. I'm not looking to promote anything. Just giving some people a chance to make some money doing what they love & helping other people.

You aren't creating this site to "help" anyone other than yourself, you have no interest in the community other than what you can suck out of it.  There are so many wonderful websites run by people who's "love" of BDSM isn't motivated by greed.

All wonderful sites but they are different. Like I said, you don't have to support our venues. The site you're on right now is free & makes money from advertising. Something has to pay the bills. Stop complaining & pointing fingers.

oh Crappy quit your whining. Money is what makes the world go round. Prolly just miffed because you didn't think of it first. If I could think of anything to contribute I would and not expect any money. Living in the middle of nowhere Iowa there is a serious lack of r/t potential for learning and exploration. If not for the net and sites like CM and those of Dianna's and many others, I would be miserable.
I am just trying to find time to load my truck with cases of wine to drive to that bonfire down by the creek so I can have an excuse to crawwwwwwwwwwwl back up to the house.......giggling like a silly fool the whole way...........

Oh and don't forget the pony slave with carriage. In fact I was just on the phone with my NJ slave who is begging to order me the gear but I need to work on the trails some. They are there but need to be smooth otherwise our cart might flip. I don't know about you but dare even one drop of champagne spill from my glass! lol

But seriously soon as i'm done with these and get everyone on track I'll be inviting some ladies down. You, of course are on my list! <wink>

Dear Dianna, The guy who's being so crappy to you, maybe did you a favor. Without all his complaints I wouldnt have gone to see your site. The only issue I had when I got there was, in having trouble reading the "Diversity" block at the top. It could be my computer, but its a 17 inch screen so it should be large enough to read.

You might want to make those fonts larger. Or maybe its the font itself. It really slowed me down. The letters are really squeezed together. Just a thought. Good luck. I dont see the problem.

I'm curious how you decide which submissions you will and won't publish on the site.

IMO, IMHO, YMMV, AFAIK, to me, I see it as, from my perspective, it's been my experience, I only speak for myself, (and all other disclaimers here).

I would be glad to send lots of photos, (all originals) and also very tasteful, although most of the submissive shots are nude. Is that ok?  I also can supply alot of poetry that is very erotic, I think well written (since it is my own) and also some fantasies I've written.  I would not expect payment for this, because anyone who shelters homeless animals is alrighty in my book, besides your reputation speaks for itself.

One question, since these are personal writings and photos, could the author be anonymous, or at least can a pseudonym be used?

Thank you for your feed back. I agree that it is hard to read. I have a hard time reading almost anything that isn't huge. lol- I'll probably re-design the splash page later. For now we're still working INSIDE!

We buy a little of everything. It needs to be well written & punctuated properly. Like I posted, we are looking for educational pieces or articles of interest. If it doesn’t meet that criteria then it doesn’t get publish.   We have articles from people like Patrick Califia well known scene writer as Pat Califia. His style is pretty standard but we might outline what we need. In this case we’re looking for all kinds of articles about all kinds of topics.   Obviously budget is also a factor. We’ve received email from great writers who offered articles for free with a link exchange while others wanted outrageous amounts of money. We don't mind paying or offering a link. We still have a budget we need to keep to monthly.

LaTigresse,

While I sympathize with your plight of being stuck in Iowa, people like this do not help BDSM, they are part of the problem.  As someone who has created real world groups, bailed out real world play spaces with my own money, and in general, along with a legion of others poured sweat and tears into building real world S&M communities, the sort of garbage she is creating hurts all of us.

By running this "free" site, she gets to set herself up as an authority and raise the rates on her pay site (without of course mentioning to the men she sucks dry of money and nothing else) that there are often real world local venues where they just might meet someone who has an interest

quote:

To arrange a call with me you must have one of these payment options in place. I actually prefer Epassporte because it's quick and I can use my Epassorte Debit card to buy gifts. I absolutely expect any slave in training to contribute to my lifestyle. If you're on a budget I am happy to discuss options with you, HOWEVER it still begins with a phone call. You will ALWAYS contribute something. If this is a problem, please don't email me.

http://www.diannavesta.com/home.htm

Is this REALLY the sort of person you want to throw your support behind?
