With emotions and enthusiasm running high, I'm wondering if we might have fools doing foolish things at some polling places. (Besides how some might cast their ballots, )

If there are improper demonstrations, or incidents of voter intimidation, do you think the DOJ will have any credibility to prosecute the offenders, or have they painted themselves into a corner with the Black Panther case? Will the publicity on that case inspire more such behavior from the other political extreme?

The Washington Post has offered up their report on the case.

The DOJ has no credibility.
R-led House investigations are required to restore any, too.
Soon. Very soon.
I think Holder will resign before Jan 20.
From the sited report:

"deep divisions within the Justice Department that persist today over whether the agency should focus on protecting historically oppressed minorities or enforce laws without regard to race."

The Post is essentially admitting that Holder has taken the blindfold off Lady Justice.

I'll be a poll worker as usual and any shenanigans at my polling place, no matter the party affiliation, will result in my directing the police to arrest the electioneer. I've done it before and will do it again if I have to.

However it will more than likely be a Kirk vote cager than a black nationalist.

It isn't about the calling of the cops to the polling place, Ken. The question is whether effective prosecution can be brought, and whether such prosecution can be brought at all, without a backlash against an easily perceived race-based approach to justice.

How many times do we have to go through this before the issue gets put to rest?

There have been numerous threads about it, but some people are intent on keeping it alive to prove that Holder and Obama are black racists oppressing the white majority.

As a veteran poll worker, the NBPP members so famously videotaped were doing nothing illegal, on that video at least. They were not electioneering. They were not interfering with or intimidating people trying to enter the polling place.

That's why the Bush doj did not file a criminal complaint against them. The present DoJ just continued pursuing the civil case brought against them.

I guarantee that there will be arrests and prosecutions for violations of polling laws around the country. FNC won't cover them unless they advanxce FNC's "teh blacks are coming to get you" meme and the DoJ won't get involved because in general the laws violated are state laws.

How about until the lefty talking points match the facts of the case, Ken? Besides, my question deals with the fallout of the matter into the Nov. 2 election, and I notice you don't wish to address that at all.

And I notice you do not even know who you are talking to, which makes this kind of pointless.

Look up Richie, it's not Ken.

Sorry, RML. I didn't notice you were hiding in his skirts. I'd rather talk to him anyway.

That's fine.

As long as you can figure out who you are talking to.

From the linked Post article, Ken;

Two months after Election Day, Adams and his supervisors in the George W. Bush administration filed a voter-intimidation lawsuit against Heath and his colleagues, even though no voters had complained. The Obama administration months later dismissed most of the case, even though the Panthers had not contested the charges.

So a civil suit in Federal Court is something to be sneezed at?

My question would have to be, will the Black Panthers and other Democrat party favorites feel emboldened to carry out even more outrageous attacks on the civil liberties of dissenting American voters, knowing how the Black Panthers in the above mentioned case got a wink and a nod from this president.

Dramatic? Video of Black Panthers trying to intimidate voters in Pennslyvania:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neGbKHyGuHU

Thats dramatic, and remember, Obama slipped these racist pieces of trash the tongue afterward.

Well, that's obviously a disgrace, then.
I trust that you were equally offended when the Republicans were trying to intimidate black voters into staying away from the polls in 2000 and 2004?

It certainly means even the Bush DoJ couldn't find what they were doing criminal. Go take a poll watcher course then tell me what they were doing that was illegal.

Intimidation, the usual claim, requires an overt act which there is absolutely no evidence they did.

So you are saying no activity that falls short of criminal charges should be prohibited outside a polling place, Ken? Or just trying to get the conversation away from what random assholes might feel inspired or empowered to do by the widespread publicity of that case?
