Lucy,

At issue is not a Republican groundswell, but that more Democrats are up for re-election, defending seats in a "throw the bums out" election mentality. In fact, Republican approval is even lower than Congress, but race by race, it's an opportunity for the opposition.

We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Music, you are right, its hugely interesting to me I have to admit

Of course Obama is still popular.Don't let the Tea Bagger's lie to you!!!Lucy,I am orginally from Rochester,NY,right across Lake Ontario from you.I do follow Canadian new's from time to time.I know America does Election's better but Canada still has it's own fun as well.I think maybe Canada can do better without a Stephen Harper. This guy would fit in real well with the Tea Bagger's.Becareful,if the Tea bagger's win election's here in America,Canada will be next!!!The Tea Bagger's will already have a strong ally in Stephen Harper. He should retire.George Bush Jr can fly up their to Canada, him and Harper can stick each other's finger's up each other's butt hole's all day long like they use to do.

Lucylastic -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 10:25:00 AM)

its funny my hubby and I were talking about that this morning.Harper is a twat, but canada will never have the lack of humanism the tea baggers and repubs have.. Oh Im sorry make that socialism

PyrotheClown -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 11:33:57 AM)

There's only one poll that counts, and thats election day

I was glad to see democrats finely gain control while back, but have been less then impressed with their performance.
While they should have been swinging their new power round like a barbwire covered base ball bat, they kept pulling their punches assuming that republicans would try to act a little bi partisan and work for their money. Example, with out a public option, the new health care bill is just more of the same, it doesn't really make any body happy, and why, cause they(the dems) thought they might be able to lure out some republican votes, but that wasn't gonna happen regardless(unless of course they had given the insurance companies the hand job they were looking for). And whatta bout the other issues, yeah dems did a good job reforming creditor laws, but whata bout gitmo, isn't it bout time to close that down?

I just wish obama was a bit more like the republicans paint him to be, a radical leftist, instead of a centrist lol

Moonhead -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 12:07:33 PM)

Now, why haven't we had any moderators paying any attention to the drivel Sanity's been spouting?
Do the lazy tossers just wait until a Liberal's insulted some poster who leans to the right before they start deleting posts and suspending people?

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 12:09:21 PM)

This is hilarious. He hasn't done anything in about a month and his popularity rises, but when he signs a bill his popularity goes down. What's that tell you???

Keep in mind that all the poll takers have to do to manipulate the results is pick another demographic region to call.

mnottertail -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 12:10:58 PM)

That you spend alot of time masturbating over this?  Or what?

At the risk of pointing out the obvious.....the system issues tickets when users such as yourself fill them out. I'm wondering if the irony of wondering where moderators are on a Sunday afternoon, and you calling them names because someone else as of that time period had not had their posts calling another poster names pulled yet somehow escapes you.

Surely it's a nefarious government plot, not that some of the volunteers might have actually not been sitting at the politics and religion board poring meticulously over every word, but that in fact they were waiting for a Liberal to fuck up instead of a conservative so they could get all they political frustrations out.

Has the irony hit anyone yet, or the fact I let the one calling US names stay??

The threads back folks. Left, right, middle, fuckin outside the corners, better tread carefully and stick to the OP, its a good topic. I suggest THAT is what you discuss.

truckinslave -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 7:11:56 PM)

Total misread.

Had the bill been 6" further left NancyFran would not have had enough Dim votes.

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Newsweek: Obama Approval jumps (10/24/2010 7:28:27 PM)

Something else about the unreliability of polls, they can easily skew them in favor of Obama simply by conducting during work day hours. That way they will get all the people who are sitting on their asses raking in checks from entitlement programs.

I think most people can see that it took 4 years before Bush's popularity began to fall, and this guy started going downhill in 1 yr. 3 years from now, he will be another jimmy carter, unless he decides to enforce our Immigration laws and protect American jobs. Then, I would even vote for him.

So did Reagan, whose approval ratings were ten points lower at this point.

No evidence of bias or slant can be detected within this post.Just a dry reading of impartial fact. [8|]

This comparison has become a cliche.
I think, thank God, it will soon lose its appeal to you.

So am I. Born in Strong Memorial Hospital.

Canada does Democracy waaay better than we do. We only have 1.5 parties. Canada has several. They actually form coalitions which represent their constituents. Our representatives form coalitions with corporations, and occasionally, indirectly, workers, who are represented by unions.

On NPR this afternoon was an Ami living in BC (Adele Diamond) doing research on the prefrontal cortex, and learning in children. The government in BC has adopted some of her evidence-based theories in its educational system. Here in the United Snakes we have the Texass Board of Edumacation, comprised of a bunch of retarded Holy Rollers, who choose what books the schools in the US use. Night and Day. Imagine, using scientific research to guide public policy!!!

I don't blame you or any of the other straw-clutching drowners.

Sigh.

I miss talking with adults.

Cuck pulled out a clearly irrelevant point, as this counterpoint demonstrates.

Sorry it's such a problem for you. Make coffee, stay up and stew over it if you like.

Nov. 2, whatever happens, it will still be the case. It's how history works.

Here...if it makes you any happier, it's not just Reagan with lower approval ratings:

My point, which I so hoped you would see, alas, is that Reagans poll numbers subsequently went up.

ERGO, enjoy comparing the reagan and 0bama0 numbers while you can.
