cuckyman -> RE: What is the Republican plan? (10/26/2010 9:20:41 AM)

If I were still running a company, the LAST person I would hire is a stupid democrat of any variety... and NO it is not treason to hire what you want in employees or to outsource...its called the free market and democrats don't control that and never will....

cuckyman -> RE: What is the Republican plan? (10/26/2010 9:27:29 AM)

Where exactly in the Constitution does it say I am responsible for paying for your healthcare?... good grief libs are really good about 'rights' earned for them by other people and spending other people's money on what they deem necessary for them.... If you want health care...why not try getting off your ass and EARNING IT like everyone else..... god democrats are worhtless socialist always with their hands out wanting someone to buy them what they call 'rights'.... bullshit! I don't owe you shit!

mnottertail -> RE: What is the Republican plan? (10/26/2010 9:30:05 AM)

Where in the constitution does it say I have to pay for your retirement? Your medicare? Your fucking hurricane relief?

GM imploded on Union Retirement obligations and a non competitive workforce...let em go down into the failed land of union failures worldwide... we don't owe those workers anything...they wanted it that way...and they got it....too bad...so sad...fuck GM.... who cares who goes down with them....

We didn't bail out the workers. Even with all the mismanagement at GM, they were the least expensive element in all this.

We bailed out the financial speculators who gambled on GM's corporate prosperity. That is where the BIG losses for the taxpayer were to be had. We were facing those losses because private sector AIG was an irresponsible bookie and took on way too many unregulated bets without the cash to back up their bookie operations.

Instead of buying up those GM bets as "toxic assets" (like we did with the mortgage securities), we simply used taxpayer pocket change to fortify the company and avoid the bets (insurance) from being triggered. It was the cheaper path.

This is the reality of our economy going forward, where everything is tied to gambling done by unregulated Wall St elites.. This is why the economy on Main St never recovers.

He likely hasn't the slightest idea just what the hell you are talking about. He is simply a partisan, capitalist fascist, sycophant repeating all of the tired 30 year old talking points of the capitalist...er repub party. He is either almost completely brainwashed by now and doesn't even realize his own requirement to revise history to even try to construct any point.

There is nothing in reality that supports anything he has to written here. I'll defer to his VN service but even that is beginning to show me that he was dumb enough to go when he very likely didn't have to or he flew like a very close relative...to turn into a job or business when he got out...treating the VN war for what it was...a war for profit.

Every single VN vet I knew (older than me) told me unanimously...DO NOT GO...GO TO CANADA IF NECESSARY.

I chose...yes chose the Navy and a med cruise. VN was just 10 years with millions of young people sent there by old people to kill or die...creating nothing more than a whopping profit for the warmongers. Hell kinkroids, the CIA assassinated the pres, of SVN because he wanted us out and to negotiate reunification. We've normalized diplomatic status because of course...fascist labor is a real profit center.

cuckyman lives in an Ayn Rand world where there are no truthes not discovered in an exchange of wealth in the pursuit of a profit particularly as reflected in his comment that economy is to serve only investors...not society at large.

FWIW, I did my 6 years of service POST VIETNAM, and in my time on active duty I served along side many men that had been to "the southeast Asian unpleasantness" as many of them called it.  Almost every one of those guys told me the following axiom:  "The louder, and more the jerk proclaims his combat prowess, the more likely it was he was just a "fucking chairborne  commando", that served in some rear area headquarters, and never actually had his "ass in the grass".

I have three first cousins that were there, when they finally opened up to me, it was only because I had done service time.  The stuff they told me about, made me (and still makes me) wonder if I could have dealt with the shit they did.  You see in combat, a soldier (sailor or marine) does, and sees things they wish they had never seen or done.  They do not wish to remember, but they can never forget.

Most actual combat vets NEVER talk about their experiences, especially to strangers, or on a message board like this.  The bottling up of these memories, is partly why we keep making the same fucking mistakes over and over, if veterans knew they could talk to people and not be judged, I think the urge for war would diminish pretty fucking rapidly.

Memorially,

Trickle Down as you call it...is what a modern economy is about.... You might wish to read Dr Milton Freedman's pulitzer prize winning book... "Free to Choose".... it is the work that dispells your little theory that 'all things originate with goverment' ... like most libs.... you are iniformed, and proudly ignorant of what constitutes a real free economy.... you are about to be taught a lesson in just that..... behold...you might just learn something ....

You know Cucky, you had a few good points in your previous post, but then you just destroy anyone taking you seriously with your constant ragging on liberals.

You accuse other people of being ignorant while you proudly tell us we are "iniformed" and you can't even get the name of the economist you are promoting correct.

cuckyman -> RE: What is the Republican plan? (10/26/2010 8:03:48 PM)

Treason against who?... you?.... like companies owe you something? If I own a company, I do what I can to make a profit.... and that comes before appeasing left wing idiots who think they set the agenda for everything to do with the nation... here's a clue... noone died and left you in charge... and Obama doesn't control shit.... he is just the current idiot that is about to be neutered politically in a few days time.... deal with it!

cuckyman -> RE: What is the Republican plan? (10/26/2010 8:18:24 PM)

Yes I am guilty of typos from time to time...I am getting along in years...but I am smart enough to be able to smell liberal skunks a mile away... I detest the bastards and will do all to my last breath to see the end of the 'progressive' movement. These people are in fact nothing more than enemies of freedom and closet socialist that are too cowardly to come out of the closet. They deal only in lies and half truths and personal attacks as they have nothing else but higher taxes...bigger goverment...and less individual and economic freedom. They are not worhty of being called an American and are a blight on our nation. I am fed up with this forum and fed up with communicating with the liberal trash on this site.... I will not post on these forums again.... I live along one of the most beautiful stretches of unspoiled white beaches in the world...in an area rich with good conservative people and peace.... Were it not for having a son, I would not care if this nation went to hell most of the assholes of this new generation don't deserve the right to live here in freedom... they are too stupid and caught up in propaganda from their beareded marxist college proffessors to even understand how a free society works and functions... and I see a dark future for this land ahead..... but in the end people usually end up getting what they deserve and this generation will reap as they have sown.

Once freedom is lost...the price to regain it will be dear if not impossible, and freedom will disappear all over the planet.... and I am glad to have lived in the time that I did live.... The time when this nation was a mighty and wonderful place.... but like other great civilizations, this one is now infested with the vermon of the political left wing, and when the history of the fall of America is finally written, It will be the 'progressives' that will be credited for bringing America down.... But for as long as I can breathe and pull a trigger... It will NOT be on my watch.... To the liberals of this land.... I simply say... 'KISS MY CONSERVATIVE ASS' Alpha Mike Foxtrot.... out....

Hillwilliam -> RE: What is the Republican plan? (10/26/2010 8:27:52 PM)

Getting back on topic. WTF IS the Republican plan when they (as anticipated) assume a majority in both houses next month?

The candidate I spoke to last week just looked at me like a deer in the headlights when I asked him what his plans were if he won.

Come ON guys, give us something to look forward to.

That's fine.

We are all guilty of that occasionally, but it becomes a little hypocritical when you a make a post accusing others of being ignorant
then expect more lenient treatment for yourself.

And as far as personal attacks you do that constantly, even in this post.

Come on. I'm not paying that much attention, and even I know the answer to this one. The Reps are going to gun for health care.

I hope they do. Even some of the democrats were saying this is a 'compromise' bill, not meant to stand forever, or even for very long. As it's written it's terrifying.

The only thing I have to quibble over this is that Wall Street is not unregulated. In fact, it's very heavily regulated, under laws that put Deadalus to shame for sheer complexity.

The problem is not that it's unregulated. It's that it's badly regulated. The capitalists are not entirely at fault, here.

Charles, you and I are on the same side of the fence but your posts are hard to read.

Will you at least start using some paragraphs before you make my eyes bleed trying to read your posts?
