I think you should let everyone know of your predictions on Pogo's new poll.

30% undecided this late in the game is a sure sign to me that the moderates, or centrists or whatever you want to call them of any party think all the candidates are shit, and when faced with 2 or 3 or whatever plethora of choices, will vote on the least stench or by serendipity...a caretaker run for 2 years.

I've been watching election coverage on Fox News and CNN this evening. Wolf Blitzer looks like a kid who woke up Christmas morning to the sight of no presents under the tree. I almost feel sorry for the guy.

There's still hope for Nobama. If somehow the GOP can luck out and also take control of the Senate it might salvage Nobama's already dismal presidency. Look how well Bill Clinton did after the GOP took control of Congress in the 1994 midterm elections. Clinton spent the rest of his presidency signing law that was sent to him by Newt and the GOP. Of course he's going to look brilliant. Even letting Monica polish his knob in the Oval Office didn't tarnish his legacy - all thanks to the GOP.

What kind of whine did you serve with the crow pie at your house this evening, O59?

They do seem to have made up their minds, O59

Here's a link for the running tally at a glance. Repubs are up 30 seats in the House, with less than half the seats accounted for.

All the networks - including MSNBC - are saying 50 to 60 seats picked up by the GOP in the house.

How's that tingle now?

It was a clean sweep here in Wisconsin. The republicans took control of the governors office, the state assembly, the state senate, picked up 3 U.S House seats and threw the most liberal senator in the country, Russ Feingold, out of office.

Is it just me, or does it seem quiet down here tonight?

Have they fled the country, even ahead of the President, do you think? Of course, he still has to do a press conference tomorrow.

Marko Rubio kicked some ass in Florida. It looks like he pulled 50% of the vote in a three way race. Rand Paul got his own thread, and delivered a powerful acceptance speech (you can find it on the left at the RCP link I posted).

Or did you just mean the loons? They are mostly losing.

The bull goose looney is gone..Grayson, an embarassment to all Americans. Now Franken has that title all his own. Whats most interesting about the results though, is that the Blue Dogs are getting wiped out. There is no such thing left as a "moderate democrat" and that is likely to push Lieberman over to the GOP caucus, which is like an addtional 1/2 seat loss. If the last 4 years have looked polarized, you aint seen nothing yet.

Well, in the NY 23rd, not well---Owens will remain our Congressman.

We retained Democrats in the state legislature too, even though this is Republican country.

At least here, all politics is still local.

I can only vote in the ones I can vote in!

We had a sweep here in Myrtle Beach, Nikki Haley-Governor, Jim DeMint-Senator, Tim Scott -Congressman. And John Sprat Rep(D) voted out.
In my old district in N.H. "Sister Moonbeam" Carol Shea-Porter Rep. (D) voted out, former Manchester mayor Frank Guinta (R) voted in, Charlie Bass Rep (R) voted back in after a two year absence, Kelly Ayotte (R) Senator takes retiring Judd Gregg's place.
Now they're saying on the news that the Repubs may have picked up *65* seats in the House!
And down in Florida Col. Allen West trounced his opponent by 2 to 1.

And here in the Commonwealth it's business as usual. No surprise really.
Even Suzanne Bump < Dem > won. A woman who hired a man who served 24 years for taking part in Satanic killings. Including him kicking around the head of one of their decapitated victims. You know it's a fucked up state when that is an electable candidate.
