Tinkerer -> Masculization (10/28/2010 4:59:35 AM)

We all know that forced feminization and the like have been posted and discussed on these forums ad nausea. I've done some searches and I can't find any time where the reverse has been talked about. I can't help but wonder if this is because in reality nobody likes men (Highly unlikely), or if it's because taking the irritating stereotypes of men would equate to a disgusting abusive pervert?

I was talking with my Mate the other night about something related (don't remember what), but it got me thinking.

Masters: Would you ever consider masculizing your submissive? I'm not talking about making a permanent changes here, but things like taking away her make-up; wrapping her breasts and having her wear male or neutral style clothing, having her do some strength training, getting a short haircut, etc...

Mistresses: Do you or have any of you considered masculizing your (male) submissive? Do you encourage or control aspects of his life at times to make him more manly (and probably more attractive) to you? What sort of things have you done, and how well did they work out?

Female Bottoms: What are your thoughts on being masculized? If someone did the aforementioned things to you, would you find it to be an interesting experience; an experiment to see how the other gender experiences society? Would you be afraid of loosing your identity as a woman?

Male Bottoms: If your Owner came to you and tried to make you more masculine, how would you take it? Would you be offended or hurt that they didn't see you as being "manly" enough? Would you take it as a gesture of kindness to help you improve yourself or your attractiveness to your mistress?

LadyAngelika started an interesting thread on the Ask a Mistress forum the beginning of this year, Forced Masculinity, Take 2.

Do you mean masculine in appearance only or are you referring to "manly" actions?

Could you clarify this question, please?

And for all that nausea I still for the life of me cannot fathom why anyone does that or gets off on it.

DesFIP -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 6:41:21 AM)

You've got it backwards. Most men who want to be forced feminized, sissified, do it as a humiliation fetish because they consider women as less than men. Which is one of the reasons it's not big among dommes, because saying they want that also says they buy into women being less. And obviously, they don't.

However if you're going to force masculinize a woman as a humiliation thing, you would have to teach her to belch and scratch in public. And mostly women don't know how to belch on command. Boys practice belching the alphabet, girls don't.

OttersSwim -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 6:55:44 AM)

I think that if it is an actual -fetish-, i.e., if the person in question has a gender-based fetish that elicits an arousal response and is not transgendered, then playing with gender roles can be fun and good in many relationships.  When you are transgendered, you can still play with it, but with more care (IMO) as it becomes an issue of identity rather than an arousal response and can be quite a bit more complex in the mind, heart, and spirit of the individual.

Trans-folk who also have a gender-based fetish exist too and again as long as you are not depleting the spirit or identity of the person, then all's fair.

I might see a way to masculinize a slave, but it is gonna get pretty girly regardless, because they are gonna be eating my cock in their brooks brothers suit, ferragamo wingtips, and hermes necktie and watch.

B is metrosexual, and I like to look good but I'm fairly low-maintenance.
I do my own nails, brush my hair with my fingers, wear fashionable secondhand clothes and shop mainly at thrift stores...I'm a jeans-and-t-shirt kinda girl. If anything, he's trying to feminize me so I'll wear heels more often [;)]

submitting4U -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 9:41:06 AM)

Anima and Animus ... both sides of the coin dwell in us, usually repressed from consciousness. I do not believe it is arousing for men because "they see women as less than men ... it is more about society's ability to shame the feminine characterisitcs that dwell in all men. So, when people are repressed, guess who comes knocking at the door? You guessed it, fetishes ... the energy get attached to a third party, sometimes a person and sometimes a physical object (ie panty) and wholla ... There is good reason why a person could be aroused by masculization, shame and repression are two of them ... there are more ... Sometimes shaming a man "to be a real man" can be arousing for sub men ... it is out the shame of "being weak like a woman." Ironically, it is female dominas who often perpetutate this as they humiliate male slaves.

There is a big assumption built into your response that I'm not sure is true.  I know quite a few male subs  who enjoy feminization, and none of them do it for sexist reasons.

While it is not my particular kink, I have done it, and actually enjoyed it at times.  There was something strangely erotic about being forced to wear panties under my business suit.  It was also oddly erotic being forced to go to the gym everyday, and wear panties there as well.  I had to proudly put on my pink panties in the men's dressing room each day.

I was surprised by how arousing it was, but there was never a thought of women being less than.  In fact, women never entered my mind.  Just personal curiosity about how surprisingly erotic wearing nylons or panties was.

But that's just me.

Nineveh -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 10:35:00 AM)

I am personally a huge fan of shaved heads.  Many subs view this as de-feminizing, which for a woman can be the same as masculizing.  That's not the part of it that turns me on, but it is for some of them.

I would absolutely HATE it - to me that is taking away who I am, it would be the worst thing ever!  But then I am quite girly, and, as much as I love men, I wouldn't want to be one/dress like or act like one.

Fluke -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 4:40:29 PM)

As a female bottom I would love to be a boy sometimes, to my (future) dominant (man).

The problem I think would be finding a heterosexual man comfortable with it.

I'm already a tomboy in spirit and looks, most of my clothes a teenage boy could wear without anyone thinking any of it, I'm small chested by nature and I wear my hair short.
So I guess I'm not very represantive for the "average" female bottom on this issue, since it is actually more of a special interest to me :)

kiwisub12 -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 4:58:18 PM)

I have no interest in being masculinized - i enjoy being a woman and having womans curves. I love my long hair and would be extremely doubtful if i could submit to having my hair cut man short. I'm thinking that i would have to give a go-by to any dom who would insist on this -ization.

I haven't come across too many women who want to be made to be men. Its an interesting thought, but as an aspect of bdsm would probably be rather rare.

But if women were considered powerful then it wouldn't be shaming to say a man had feminine characteristics. By definition then, men are looked at as 'better' than women by the people who do this for humiliation.

And Roch, I specifically linked this viewpoint to humiliation. If it isn't humiliating for you, then that isn't involved. BTW you still have the finest ass on this site, just saying!

I'm not sure that defeminizing is the same as masculinizing. Couldn't it be just nullification? Reducing them to a sexless object instead of changing their gender.

Thank god..a man who understands the sexuality of labels!! [:D]

And to answer the OP, not only would that never be even a microscopic thought in my mind or any one I was ever with, but it would be virtually impossible to masculinize me since the hair, the boobs, the everyone is just too femme.

I'm sort of into this, but not "being masculized" as in someone else forcing me to do it...more like, hair up under a cap, guy's button down shirt, boy cut panties, combat boots and bright red lipstick.

It's the contrast that turns me on, not losing my femininity. I wouldn't want to actually start being like a guy.

If anyone told me I had masculine characteristics I'd be terribly insulted.

IMO the reason this works is not because superiority/inferiority but rather because the gender binary is so distinct.

The only trans girl (she was 16, she was a girl) I've ever seen who was able to pass completely had a bobbed haircut and wore clothes from the gap. The "feminization" fetish is about the extremes of the gender binary, not about imitating actual women.

Tinkerer -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 7:24:09 PM)

Thanks to all whom have replied so far. When I initially asked the question I was thinking in acts as well as looks; ie holding the door open for people, taking your hat off indoors and the like. Just as if I were to be feminized I would want to be pushed towards the good characteristics people associate with women, I was thinking of pushing for the good characteristics in men.

Unequivocally No!

Take care!

FredW -> RE: Masculization (10/28/2010 8:15:58 PM)

I would never want to try to make my sub more masculine.  I like my women to be women.  I love my sub's long flowing hair and feminine body.
