Hot debate in EU-forums about this. Dutch lawmakers have already considered laws to outlaw calls for bank runs. It could devastate the economy, but more importantly it could make clear to the banks that we have them by the balls. It’s just that so few people know we do.

Status: offline 		I'd go for that, but I use a mutually owned building society for all my banking  - I got stung by bank charges 30 years ago, and I never want anything to do with a traditional bank ever again.

I hope the French succeed. I like the French.

Do you think history repeats itself?

That there is a threat that history will repeat itself when the population forgets it or disregards the lessons of history?

Because- no matter who has what idea- history comes into play.  And even Obama/ pick one-  can not change historical precedent.

Changing history worlds as well as changing gravity.

There is a 4 generation cycle... where the current generation will make the mistakes of the great grandparents.

If you would feel better I could start pulling my links from Larouch.

While you get into politics- the history of monetary policy plays into the equation way more then one would guess.

My wealth is pretty important to me- my lifes work- my nest egg.

Status: offline 		@Pah, ya might enjoy working out the standalone change in the value of silver, rather than the change in the value of silver compared to the value of the US$. Inflation etc.
