ORIGINAL: slvemike4u If you can call having dragged us into two costly wars....and requiring us to guarentee your peace and security for nigh on 50 years as you being of service to us..... The only thing more spot on than the crippling might of this post's incorrectness is the cringe that goes over me when I read causeless American hooting. America entered World War I because of Prussian military power and autocratic Europe's threat to the Monroe Doctrine, and in World War II America required a means to claw its way out of the Depression after the loss of domestic industry. War production for the Allies saved America's economy, in other words. Collapse denotes failure and as we know, if you are big enough...failure is a profit center. Plus of course if America was really all that bad...Mexico would have been a US state long ago. I do wonder now that you brought it up, if Mexico would then be as bad as say Oregon or maybe even...the Falklands ? Since the 1898 Spanish/American war...All wars are for a profit of course. WWI, $billions spent on stuff that never left the country. WWII doesn't happen without American/Nazis investment in Germany and Standard oil's fuel. VN, Korea and now...the century's early double payoff...Iraq and Afghanistan.
