I Love it where are the retractions, where are the "im wrong" statements?
paranoia and unhinged twats jumping on any rumour and not fact checking?
can we say major clusterfuck of clusterfuck proportions

Did you have a legitimate question, or are you just baiting?

Sorry Treasure, but given the three(count'em three) threads started here by some of our more erstwhile malcontents....trumpeting the $200 million a day,3,000 people strong entourage,I don't see this as baiting...I see it as a legitimate question.
Now where are,at the least, our three thread starters.....and in case anyone has forgotten who I referrence...I believe it was hunky, the ever inquisitive servant.....and that paragon of understanding and temperance truckin ?

I referenced "reports I've read" in my OP.
Those reports were wrong.
Selah.

So be extension you were wrong...in not questioning the validity of those sources(lack of critical thinking) or of checking further.
Tell us truckin would you have so readily believed such a fanciful claim if it hadn't validated your wellknown distaste for this administration?

FR:

Ok, the India trip revisited:

Maharashtra CM, No. 2 may skip Obama meet over checks
Prafulla Marpakwar, TNN, Nov 5, 2010, 01.04am IST

UMBAI: Miffed by the US consulate demanding personal details like birth date, nationality and passport number, Maharashtra's top politicians and bureaucrats have decided to pay it back in the same currency. While the home minister and the home secretary have declined to attend an event graced by President Barack Obama, four others, including chief minister Ashok Chavan and deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal, are mulling the same.

"We are shocked over the tone of the invitation letter. (US consul general Paul) Folmsbee expects Chavan and Bhujbal to produce their identity cards before entering the venue. They have been asked to submit their details like date of birth, nationality, passport and PAN to the consulate," said a senior official on condition of anonymity. "We feel that this is no way to treat the chief minister of a state. Chavan and Bhujbal are undecided on whether to attend the event."

Seems like this administration is as tone deaf in international affairs as they are to the will of the American people.

lol... Expecting some here to admit when they are wrong is naive at best.  If this thread is directed toward those thread starters, asking for a retraction while calling them paranoid and unhinged twats is just... well... crazy.

Yes, that's correct; I was wrong by extension.
"Fanciful" may be too strong a word (and "distatste" to mild, btw). 0bama0s people are furiously dodging questions as we write. The trip is evidently over the top, the only question being a question of by how much.

Did you watch Lucys link ? Obamas spokesman says the costs compare with those for Presidents Bush and Clinton. A Pentagon official said the notion 34 navy ships were covering the trip was comical. I dont see that as dodging questions.

Don’t forget the 40 planes too.

It’s more like 200 million Rupees a day, which is more feasible in US dollars.

Honestly, what person on their right mind would believe such outrageous claims?

you didnt watch the link.....bachmann, beck, limbaugh, ...= unhinged paranoid twats.
The retractions should come from them not the people who buy their crap without checking, altho yes questioning their information would be helpful..
Ive been on the interwebz 16 years, I am far from naive. It wasnt based on the thread starters, just to make it clear. I would have gone back to those threads and mentioned it there.
Careful with your assumptions.

Did you read slvemike4u's comment that I was responding to?

Did you note that my comment quoted him?

Did you see that my post had "(in reply to slvemike4u)" at the bottom?

lol... Telling me "you didnt watch the link"???

Who has assumed what here?

Just sayin'...
