Heretic, ditto on Huckabee.
He'd be "preaching" to the American People if he got in there. It's bad enough now that Obama is trying to "dictate" to us.
Huckabee would carry a few Southern states but flop up North, the Midwest and of course on the West Coast.
He's really un-electable as a presidential candidate. And yes, I don't want any ministers, preists, rabbis, mullahs, or grand poobahs in the White House!
Whoever gets in needs to keep quiet about any religion they might belong to. I don't want to see any news footage of any phoneys with big bibles under their arms comming out of any house of worship on a sunday! (Remind you of anyone?)

Wouldn’t it be great if both parties concentrated on solving our problems today rather than start the 2012 presidential campaign.

After that election they will start campaigning for the 2014 mid-terms…How about stop the damn campaigning and get to work doing what they were elected to do.

How about some election reform…no campaigning until 8 weeks before an election.

While I would agree that would help....it just ain't never going to happen.Imagine how much better the quality of their work could be.....if they wern't beholden to the need to get re-elected.
Lobbiests would lose their influence....special interests wouln need to shut the fuck up....all would be golden,that is of course assuming we as voters could send the right people there in the first place....lol.

At the least it would make television watching more enjoyable...lol.
Seriously though banning tv spots would go a long way towards improving the level of discourse...think about it ,a tv spot does not lend itself to explaining one's position...so what do they do with all of those ads...they attack each other,they trivialize each others position...or they use fright tactics to scare the voters.
TV ads are actually quite useless if the intent is to convince someone to vote for you.....pretty good at telling the voter why he can not afford to vote for the other guy though.

It would be easy to remove the influence of lobbyists and special interests...just limit political contributions to individuals with a $2,000 limit.

Then let the NRA shoot any bastard that opens their mouths for re-election until 8 weeks before the election. Lets get some use out of the second amendment.
