How come it is only a Mandate of what the public wants/demands when the GOP win????  What about the Mandates of 2006. and 2008  Huh seems the public sent a clear message the GOP cared very little about.

Hell, Rush and the conservative pundits have acted like they had a conservative mandate even when the GOP was getting crushed.

The press only reports on what's happening in the past month, if that.  Then they claim it's a trend.  In 2008, they reported that the GOP was mortally wounded and may never rise again.

And the OP poll disagrees with other recent polls on health care where nearly 60% want repeal or a major scale back.

I would love to look at those polls Willbeur.

Where are they?

Oh, I forgot.  I need to look for them myself.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely Voters shows that 55% of voters favor repeal of the health care law, including 44% who Strongly Favor it. Forty percent (40%) oppose repeal of the law, with 30% who are Strongly Opposed. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The majority of voters have favored repeal in every weekly Rasmussen Reports survey since Democrats in Congress passed the law in late March. Voter support for repeal has ranged from 50% to 63%. Just before Election Day, 58% favored repeal.

Imagine that!

A Rasmussen poll having a decidedly conservative trend.

Ever wonder how Scotty's polls are invariably 8-10 points higher favoring Republicans and conservative issues as opposed to every other poll?

They leave the likely voter filter on year round. Personally, I like the RCP average.

I see that the Rassmussen Reports poll that had Angle and OConnell winning was as roundly ignored as this one should be.

Think any politician is really listening?

Are you kidding??? WTF do you care?

Did you care if they were listening when they passed this shit??

Whst they're listening to is the results from 11/2. That's the poll that counts; you're just clutching at straws and a really suspect poll.

One more time, just for shits and giggles, because you and both know that they obviously didn't (listen), and you obviously didn't (care). I just want to give you one more chance to answer a moronically simple question with only one multusyllabic word (and it a word you used in your own title for the thread):

Did you care if they were listening when they passed this shit??

And if you want to talk about elections.... Boehner gets it:

1. Stop spending

when we were discussing the healthcare bill befor it passes My son in law said someone had to do something about the cost.
This year they got a notice from work, because of the new HC bill their cost was going up 150 dollars a month, luckly the co. will split the cost with them.
the more people get letters like that the more will be aginst the bill.

Only $150? the average employer cost per individual is going up over $700 and family nearly $2000.

Guess what? The cost was going up with or without the bill, and has been every year for decades.

Costs didn't suddenly jump for something that doesn't really go into effect for another four years.

Beep...wrong!

Enrollment is increasing by 5-10% in most plans due to the extension of dependent status to age 26 and the elimination of lifetime caps is driving up rates as well. what was projected to trend of under 10% is now coming in near or over 20% directly due to Ocare provisions that are already coming in.

Watch California around April or May. there is likely to be a huge strike over health care benefits in one of the major industries as employers try to allocate whats left in the budget after mandated penson cost increases between health care and wages. It isnt going to be pretty (unless you make your money representing one side or the other, lol).

Whoa.

Increased enrollment hardly raises costs (unless you are adding family members to your policy, in which case, duh, it costs more).

Granted on the lifetime caps. But again, rates have been at/near double digit inflation all along, not just suddenly now.

California is NEVER a good example--all kinds of whacky bad there unique to wanting everything but not paying for it.

Uhhhh, increased enrollment in this case IS adding family members, raising the average size and cost of a family premium.

Then WTF is the problem?

Buying more food for more family members doesn't mean food rates went up. It means additional consumption.

And frankly, for one hell of a good price!
