For the record I'm an agnostic - atheists are a bit too smug in their certainty for me. But one thing's for sure - atheists are much saner and more rational than religious people. One of the latter, in fact, is about to seal the deal and condemn this and future generations to a world of drought, chaos and conflict, all because he's sure that God will protect us from climate change. How does he know? Why, because it says so in a book called Genesis. No, I am not making this up. In Congress. In 2010. Personally, I don't see a correlation between atheism and imagination -- of course, maybe that comes from having spent 20 years as a published speculative fiction writer who has -all kinds- of fascinating stories running around in my brain all the time, but... ya know... I think this is a missed correlation. grins Calla
