I see your point, Zensee, and it is well taken. However, while I agree that a positive image is most desirable... and I hope my profile doesn't come off as negative... I think there are some like myself who add the lists like you suggest in the hopes that it will save everyone some time and heartache. To give you an idea, just today I have received 76 messages... that's 76 Doms all vying for my attention and each one expecting a well thought-out, detailed, and personal response where I either agree to opening a dialog with them or politely decline their overture. In either case, it requires that I not only read their initial message and profile in the attempt to gleen whatever information I can to try to make a responsible decision. Even though there are quite a few that can be immediately dismissed, it still requires a significant investment of time to seriously consider who might be a good potential match. I can't possibly engage in simultaneous meaningful conversations with even half of the Doms who write to me. In the meantime, the Doms who have not received a response yet from me, see me online and notice that their message has been read... and then they proceed to send another message to me saying that they assume that I'm not interested since they've not heard from me. If all that time and grief can be spared by simply stating what you want and don't want, I personally think it's beneficial. But then.... that's only my opinion. ;)

It's actually much easier to get to know personalities here in the forums treasure. which is why I seldom write anyone-or really want to be written-unless someone is interested in something I had to say-here. I used to refer to places like this as "wanker shortcuts" You can sure avoid a whole lot of crapola by being here-and speaking your mind.

One of the most successful approaches that have been made to me, really wasn't made to me. At a Black Rose, convention, a lovely young lady, a recent immigrant from the PRC to the US who was studying in a doctoral program in New Jersey attended a lecture given by Libby, my wife.
