from a surprising source!

I always thought Gene Simmons & the band "KISS" were a little strange. But it seems I have been wrong on this issue. This was filmed in Iraq at a USO tour of a US Marine Base.  This is COOL!!!!

Thursday is Veteran's Day!  Say thank you, to those that have served and those that are serving now!

I'm a fan of the man...he is VERY much into supporting the troops.   The person behind the mask is nothing more then a shrewd business man, giving the public what they want.    If it makes a dollar, he is there.

The one area he donates time for, is our military, everything else costs, lol

No one is celebrating death.

Have you ever served your country?

I would never do the DISSERVICE to my country of participating in it's armed forces. These "people" volunteer to commit state-sanctioned Murder. Orders are orders.

And if the little characters above in the thread want to pay tributes to veterans, maybe they should also raise a glass to the fallen soldiers of the taliban. They're military too, and it is a WAR, after all, remember??

Is this a popular sentiment in the UK today?   Glad your forefathers didn't share your feelings.   http://www.nytimes.com/learning/general/onthisday/big/0804.html

Agreed.
Being paid to kill people for your govt is even worse than doing it for free.

~FR~

If not for the soldiers getting rich committing state sanctioned murder....
would anyone have the right to complain about it?

Our forefathers did share our feelings but they didn't have much say in the matter, most people in England are heartily sick of pointless wars and don't share the same 'Our country right or wrong 'attitude of a lot of Americans. A lot of people died for the right of right thinking people to tell warmongering politicians to go and fuck themselves and it would be doing them a disservice to do anything else.

"Popular" as in you shout it out with pride? No, that would demoralise the, ahem, "heroes" in Helmand.

"Popular" as in widespread? Dear, it's the silent majority's viewpoint. On BOTH sides of the pond.

thats ok Sweetie...you just sit your ass back and enjoy all the liberties that our military has fought for.

Those liberties come with a price, but it is not a price you want to think about, is it? If you want to know the cost...REALLY know the cost...ask the widows, the sons and the daughters of those that gave everything they had so that you can have the right to disrespect them and the country they fought and died for..so that you can cast your hatred without retribution.

I am the flagwaver, Jermemy...but i am far from brainless. What i AM, however, is a widow of one that paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Saying his life was wasted is no insult to him, but it would be a massive insult to me if i permitted ignorance such as yours to affect me. I do not nor will not permit it, as it would be a grave injustice to him as well as to myself.

I wave the flag, Jeremy...24/7 over our home. It is there because i am proud to be am American, and proud to support those that fight for our freedom. It is also there because i will never ever forget the courage of one who gave all he had with honor and dignity.

Yes hon...our military men and women are getting rich, arent they?

And once they are home, the benefits just keep rolling on in. They get health care, prosthetic limbs to replace the healthy arms and legs lost in combat. all paid for by the government.

They get psychiatric care, because PTSD is a haunting, debilitating condition that renders some incapable of dealing with life after service.

They get free clothing, food and bedding. These things are supplied by homeless shelters, city missions, the Salvation Army, and other agencies. Sometimes it is difficult to reach the veterans to fulfill their needs, as they are living under bridges, in cardboard boxes, and behind dumpsters...locked in their own private hell.

They get disability payments, because the life they hoped for is no longer in their reach. Many are addicts, either drugs or alcohol. They do not want to be substance abusers, but it is one small way to keep the hell at bay. The problem is, when the effects of the drugs wear off, the hell returns.

Yeah...the paychecks they receive more than cover all this..huh?

Then you are a worthless piece of shit. Dont talk about veterans or those brainless flag wavers unless youve sacrificed something and walked a mile in their boots. People who are like you are the same ones who protest at a soldiers funeral and it makes me want to vomit. I served 10 years as a Ranger for the U.S. Army and know more than most the sacrifice these people go through to give you the freedoms to be a pussy little bitch that can talk shit but not know what youre talking about.
