As much as I hate to agree with PrisonPlanet, this has also been reported on CNN and the major networks.

Myself, I find it very offensive to be treated as a potential criminal after paying a large sum of money to fly on an aircraft.

I know that I wouldnt want to be a TSA person in any airport right now,

They might as well admit there is no perfect safety.  Of course, there are always those who are willing to give up all privacy and all of their rights for a little illusion.  From the record, I'd say right now there is a greater risk to the flying public from a careless mechanic or an airline executive trying to improve the bottom line than a terrorist

Well again Lucy I have to ask, at what point do you draw the line between safety and personal infringement?

We can all be nearly 100% safe if we are willing to sacrifice our liberties.

And I'm not just talking about airline travel.

Far more people die in home fires each year.

How would you feel about your home being subject to random inspections to determine if you have working smoke detectors and fire extinguishers?

To get on a plane to go to the UK to see my family  or to the US , I have no choice but to fly. I would rather not pay the taxes that the govmt charges than go thru a safety feature, Scanners dont phase me, neither does the thought of a human being seeing me sans clothing in an xray pic. I guess it depends on what you call humiliation and to me, after having numerous children and genital probings during the years, I have little care what people think of me on a scanner.I have been thru the scanner at Reagan.... didnt even make me blink.
Ive also been patted down at high security prisons, not a big deal for the chance of a visit to a loved one

If a home is rented, the landlord must ensure their property complies. Tenants of a rental property are not allowed to tamper with the alarm or remove the batteries. The law applies to all homes, including family homes, semi-detached houses, and town homes.
The fines range from
$235 to $50,000 in homes. For corporations, fines can be up to $100,000.

The point is whether the scanner or personal searches are necessary to begin with.

Every passenger plane hauls cargo as well.  Yet it has only been recently that a small portion of that cargo is being screened.

If I were a terrorist intent on blowing up an airplane that would be the route I would go.

What we have now are just feel good measures to make passengers think that everything is just fine.
