ould you support any of the following if a pressure group was set up to lobby policicians, clergy, social reformers, lawyers ect for the legalisation of consensual slavery between one or more consenting adults?

Would you support the setting up of a consensual slave register, where the designated slave could pay a one off registration fee to have their name included as a voluntary slave without limit of time, after a criminal records and mental health check??

Would you suppoort athe setting up of a slave owner licensing authority, where the prospective owner could aquire a license to own for say 10 years, for a set fee after a criminal records check and mental health check.

The setting up of a Registered slave welfare inspection agency, where welfare workers could visit the address where a slave is residing during their ownership,to check that they are being reasonably well treated?

hell no, no ones monitering me and how i live my life

No, this is a very bad idea on so many levels.  Just remember the good old USA is
the only country in the world that has a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms!
W/we could end up in that Bureau or as gasp...Dept. of Homeland Insecurities!

I love My country, but I fear My government.

Gee, we're hung up over homosexuality and you think THIS is a good idea?

Just what we need, the government sticking their nose into more bedrooms.

Sheesh.

What is wrong with a Registration process,a licensing process, and a welfare inspectorate? Slaves were also kept in homes, often naked and shackled in the presence of children. A system of legality and registration excetera would keep family services away from your door.

I can see many thing wrong with this....to begin with, even being wildly expectant....no *official* body is going to condone physical punishment or naked humiliation etc , in the presence of children and I personally think that it would be an abuse OF the children. Choosing to be a slave and to live as one, when children are part of the equation, is not a choice THEY have made. Is there really a burning need for this?... Most people wishing to live this way quietly do so, as I said before , without a need to *beat their drum*. It doesn't have to be forced into everyone's awareness.

In the event you've been living under a large rock......straight porn -- bukakke flicks -- were just confiscated and the prod co is being prosecuted under the Gonzales regime for OBSCENITY.

Do you sincerely think this country wishes to bring into normalacy what the medical community still can't really officially get their hands around as something that isn't a disease?

I wouldn't waste taxpayers dollars.

There is so much wrong with this idea, it's difficult to know where to start.  In a word, hell no!  Okay, that's two words, but I'm sure you get the idea.  There isn't even a common definition of the word "slave" among us, you'd expect the government to be able to define it?

Next thing ya know, there'd be a SKC organization, where a "slave's" pedigree could be filed and the owners would give them goofy names and drag their butts to shows and stuff and we could all watch it on Animal Planet.

Seems this has been mentioned before on another thread and got pretty much the same reaction.  Where's LA when ya need her?

marieToo -> RE: Campaign to legalise adult consensual slavery relationships. (6/6/2006 4:56:54 AM)

Besides the million and one reasons that make the idea of this ludicrous, the government would never allow any type of legislation on anything that involves the word 'slavery'.  Imagine the social outrage.

By giving a legislative body any power or involvement would be a great folly.  It would create a haven for abusers and allow slick lawyers to manipulate you desire to submit into a sacrifice of your rights. You would be allowing your rights, and the rights legislated by the bozo’s that be, to be open for wide interpretation. Abuse would become rampant with little or no legal reprisals.

Now I have been wrestling with this for a bit and would like some feedback. Would you use a site that posted information about lifestyle people, the good, the bad, and the ugly? My dilemma is vindictive people who would abuse an informational system to spite another. I am at odds with the idea but if it would help the community(s) feel safe I wouldn’t mind paying the dues for bandwidth to operate a site.

It might be viewed as fun.  But, for obvious reasons, it couldn't be taken all that seriously as any kind of a viable "screening" option.
Furthermore, labeling people as good or bad submissives/slaves/Masters based on gossip, and then publically posting such a list would be wrong on so many levels.

I've actually seen such a site.  It was pulled by the host as it was against the TOS.
The problem with that site and anything of this type is that everyone is an individual and what is considered bad or wrong by one person, wouldn't be by another.  And there are vindictive people out there who will, in a fit of anger or jealousy or whatever, put someone on the "bad" list.  Honestly, the only thing such a site would be is slanderous.

I'd much rather form my own opinions about people, rather than have someone else form it for me.
