There was a great interview Alan Moore did around the turn of the millennium, in which he said that he'd decided that the easiest way to show that Britain had become a futuristic utopia in V For Vendetta was to have surveillance cameras everywhere...

You say not to travel.   I actually have eaten 2 trips in the past.   Bought the tickets- then was in too much pain to travel.

One to Peurta Vallarta.   One to Chicago.   There was a 3rd trip too I backed out- of- but that ticket was refunded... the direct flight from Harrisburg was delayed- by a few hours.... 

So-  I HAVE backed out of travel....     I have also turned around 2x on the 12 hour drive to Chicago-- a few hours into the trip- due to pain issues.

PS- I am sure I am not the only one with pain issues- or that ate a ticket....

That had nothing to do with security measures, pa.

Scanners are not going away. If you want to travel, get used to those or pat downs. If you cant get used to them, then dont travel.

Ron,  it means we have natural rights.    that we do not need the state to give us what is already OURS.

US Marshals Service may deploy more body scanners at courthouses.
note the pic-  the faces were not supposed to be seen. I bet this is bad for the lymph nodes~

If you blithely waive your constitutional rights in order to have even less effective airport security then yes, you're correct, they will not go away.

What "Liberty" are we sacrificing? Think about it. We still have the liberty to travel. Searches through luggage has a been a procedure for a long time. X=raying bags, the norm for many years. Metal detectors are now in schools... i wonder why. ~tongue in cheek in case you missed the sarcasm there~

If they racially profiled, many would be screaming about that. Hell, i say scan everyone. Then no one will complain about being "profiled".

I think what needs to be done at minimal is a freeze on ANY new scanners ANYWHERE.
