WTF?

That was my reaction.

I think what he means is, neither the Titanic nor the Hindenburg were destroyed by a terrorist bomb, ergo scanners would not have helped.

Obviously, from a logical POV, that makes no sense at all, but I suspect he's 7 miles beyond the sanity horizon and accelerating fast

There is some logic to my Titanic- Hindenburg  comp..    Rap has a good jump on that tie in.
In a crazy world, who or what is sane?  Rhetorical question.

Prison Planet.com

The Electronic Privacy Information Center is demanding that Big Sis spill the beans on street scanners as part of a FOIA request that seeks to unveil the truth behind Homeland Security’s hundreds of roaming backscatter devices that are now radiating Americans in their homes and vehicles at internal checkpoints in the name of “safety”./snip

Seen enough?

Even if it were true that the world were insane (which it isn't - it is a random system, but it follows certain laws and structures), the correct reaction to it being insane is not necessarily for you, me, or anyone else, to join in with the insanity. If that were the correct way we would make no attempt to cure the insane, but would merely join them going "I'm a frog - bibble!" and gibbering a lot.

If I were you I'd steer well clear of that web site for a while. It's filled with tiny grains of truth wrapped up in some amazingly paranoid bullshit, sort of like a paranoiac’s version of The National Enquirer.

Oh and FYI? Men In Black is not a documentary*

You seem like a nice guy, but dude you're halfway down a path that leads to a total wibbling gibber-fest. By all means be sceptical, but work with facts not "facts-plus".

* and before you ask; no, neither is Men In Black II

Rap  DROP it.

Everyone here knows I am the way I am.  It is no big deal.  I never go to popular movies,  to include Men in Black- so I have no idea what that is.

And you underestimate Alex.   Most of his bases are WHITE PAPERs.

I am actually in a pretty good frame of mind... as when I am not functioning- I am not online...  so when you dont see me for a while- something is WRONG with me.

For the most part I am happy with my life...   so color me rant mode.

It is no big deal, really.

And as to critics, I have them and so be it.   Shtt happens.  Again no big deal.

Another thing to consider is that these topics are "safe"-  My family from Chicago is in town for the holiday- and if I ranted about yesterday... well- I just can not do that....  not with what happened. Dont get me wrong, we are having a great time...   but as you enjoy movies-   picture the Money Pit.    LOL.
I eagerly await day 2 of the visit.    They have not waken up yet.

Rap  DROP it.

Meaning this in the nicest, gentlest way possible: this is a public forum, so I'll say whatever I want to, within the rules. Don't like it? Block me.

The endless ParanoidFantasy.com stuff is making you look about as serious a commentator as Coco The Clown.

Rap, you do know that pa has a few issues and refuses to take his prescription medication? I wouldn't question your right to say whatever the hell you want within the TOS, but it is worth bearing that in mind.

Noted, and thank you (although I’d already gathered that), but one of the things I don't do is make someone else's issues my problem. If he chooses not to take his meds and then post, that's his decision, not mine. I take responsibility for what I think and post, not what others wish to do. It’s not my place to live anyone else’s life for them.

But thanks for the heads-up. If you look you’ll see my language was formed as politely and non-confrontationally as humanly possible.

Plus, of course, it takes all sorts to make a world

HAHAHAHA.

I'm having a lovely day, as it happens.

It's cold but clear with weak sun in London today. I even thought about digging the bike out and going for a ride, but it was so slippery underfoot I nearly went A/T just walking out to it, so I took that as an omen and am now making more bread instead

Blustery here today.  My family is out shopping.  I dont care for crowds,  so I never shop on a Friday.      Let alone Black Friday.

Gram had her heat on 74 yesterday....    abit hot for me.

It really was epic yesterday.   Sadly--  I seriously wonder if this is the last one....    as my Grams health is frail.   My sister is expecting her 3rd kid- so- she will not be out here for a while... (640 miles)

But as to liFe,.  who says it cant be fun?     Why not?

No. I have no objection to the scanner, I don't care about them seeing me naked. My objection is with being felt up by them. I would never choose to let them grope me (if I had a choice). I don't really like being touched as a rule, I definitely don't want some stranger touching my intimate places. Even with the scanners, they are still randomly targeting people for grab-ass. That is what I was referring to. So, I was thinking that if I got naked, maybe they wouldn't have any need to touch me.

Well, shall we organize and schedule (said in the english manner) a grab-ass?

I agree.  If someone can't handle message  board exchange maybe he/she should not  be in this environment.

Katy,

Of all the people who prompted me to stop posting Alex stuff, which one has succeeded so far?

The golden rule of any forum-based bulletin board, is never post when angry. If you feel yourself getting annoyed, just log off and go do something else instead, or else you end up like this:

I do not know who Alex is.  I do not get wrapped up in stranger's lives.
