ORIGINAL: OnyxGoddess I miss when the news didn't broadcast EVERYTHING our military was doing EVERYWHERE they were doing it. I miss when kids could be kids and not worry about some sick fuck snatching them off the street or molesting them. I miss when penny candy was a PENNY and not a nickle. Beautifully said. I miss the same things. I also really miss my mother and $1.00 -1.25 per gallon gas. - R R, I didn't think I'd see the day when I got misty eyed thinking about $1.25 a gallon gas, but how wrong I was lol.... and like OnyxGoddess, said, sorry about your mom. Mine is still around, but it'll be a hard row to hoe when she goes. Thanks to both you and Onyx. I lost her a few weeks ago after complications due to surgery. Mothers are indispensable..... Not only was she a good mother, but also a good friend. Spend as much time with yours as you possibly can. - R To those of you who have lost your mothers, my heart goes out to you. I lost my mother April 3, 2005. She was a dear, sweet lady, a great mom, and a wonderful friend and cheerleader to all of her children and my father. So, I, too, miss my mother. That's the most cherished and missed part of my life. I also miss the quieter, simpler times, as was said earlier when kids could be kids, and they didn't have to be scared of people. I also miss Saturday nights watching The Love Boat and Fantasy Island...
