What are some things that you miss? A tv show, food, car, etc etc. And why?

I miss when the news didn't broadcast EVERYTHING our military was doing EVERYWHERE they were doing it.  I miss when kids could be kids and not worry about some sick fuck snatching them off the street or molesting them.  I miss when penny candy was a PENNY and not a nickle. 
 
What i miss most of all is HONESTY.  There was a time when you could take what a person said at face value.  So many people are just liars and full of shit and a waste of time.

A show that I miss is "Once and Again."  I love Sela Ward, and was really getting into the show, then it got cancelled [sm=frown.gif]

GT racers.  At least I think that was their name...  Sleds that looked kinda like snowmobiles, had a ski that could turn so you could steer....  I think I was about 8 when they were cool...  We destroyed a few, playing bumper cars on the hill...

Beautifully said. I miss the same things. I also really miss my mother and $1.00 -1.25 per gallon gas.

sorry for the loss of your mom.  when i think of being without mine i get all misty eyed.  and hell yeah i miss when 15bux used to fill my gas tank for two weeks!

R, I didn't think I'd see the day when I got misty eyed thinking about $1.25 a gallon gas, but how wrong I was lol.... and like OnyxGoddess, said, sorry about your mom. Mine is still around, but it'll be a hard row to hoe when she goes.

Thanks to both you and Onyx. I lost her a few weeks ago after complications due to surgery. Mothers are indispensable..... Not only was she a good mother, but also a good friend. Spend as much time with yours as you possibly can.

I had a Nova too.....  a 1972, maybe?.... a real pile lol..... two-speed standard with the shift on the column, straight-six engine, coils sticking out of the seats...... it lasted about 3 months. I also had a 1978 Trans-Am... now that car I miss.

You probably remember the Reggie bar, don't you.

I remember when the 100 Grand candy bar was called the 100,000 bar.

I also miss rock on the radio.

Yes, named after Reggie Jackson, whom I miss seeing crush home runs.
 
Always loved the 100,000/100 Grand bar.........getting all drooly here lol.....
 
We're fortunate in having 3 very good rock stations here....  but the state of music now..... hmmph.

My Nova was a 1974, v-8, I loved that car, it flew..lol
