Just a simple google brings back a swath of links for all rightwing nutcase groups (like prisonplanet). If this 'Senate Bill S 510' exists, it exists as one of two things: A) In the imaginations of conservatives, who swap back and forth, more and more tales of conspiracies and untrue crimes. That the goverment is 'out to get them' for having guns and tobacco. Insert any other wild, outlandish, or crazy claim here. B) There actually is a Senate Bill S 510, but the exact wording and intent of the bill, is far different, then that, which gets reported on Fox News, and across conservative talk radio. And that the intent of the bill, is pretty good, rather then, ultra-evil intent. Doing some research, I found this.... The actual bill! According to Laugher & Liberity (a blog....your warned), the intent of the bill was to create a tracable system that keeps people honest and responible. If you grew tomatos in your garden, and sell it in a 'farmers market' atmosphere, and little sally gets sick from it, you can be held accountable for not making sure your produce is safe. I can see the 'pro' and 'con' of this bill. Its all good, until it bites me in the butt, right? Seems this bill seems to have its roots (pun unintended) in This Testimony given to the FDA 9/29/09. Seriously, pahunkboy, before posting something that seems wild, or insane, check on the information, and more importantly, the sources. I dont trust blogs, nor sites that have an obvious political bent. When I did the google search, I was not surprise to find most of it from 'the right wing', whom took the most conspiracy/paranoid path of destruction. Rather then explain what the bill is, and a link to a neutral location (i.e. with a dot gov tag), in neutral terms, they heavily infect it with pro-wingnut philosophies. The end result, is the reader is not given good information with which to base a reasonable answer on, but, a highly biased viewpoint. Conservatives keep doing a huge disservice to this country, as long as this attitude is allowed to persist. So yes, check the information AND the source(s) of that material.
