If I ever visit Hawaii, visiting the presidential library (or ANY library) isn't going to be high on my list of priorities.....

Let's see, honey, do we want to lie on the beach and drink umbrella drinks or go to the library today......?

Maybe they should build it in Kenya ?

I don't think poopey would be up for that: it probably counts as foreign aid...

In 2003 alone, according to state government data (see[1]), there were over 6.4 million visitors to the Hawaiian Islands with expenditures of over $10 billion

2006 and 2007 saw a big increase in tourism, with over 7.6 million visitors.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_Hawaii

But, no one visits Hawaii.

Hey Build it in Hawaii.  we need Jobs out here.  I am all for it.

However facts are fact and PA is right this time.  IT would be way more accessible in Chicago.

Tazzy you are correct. 6.4 million visitors to Hawaii a year.  However half of them are Asian and have limited to zero English skills.

There is also 1.3 million of us here.

as opposed to the 13 million people in the State of Illinois.

and Chicago hosted 45.6 million domestic and overseas visitors in 2008, including 32.4 million domestic leisure travelers, 11.7 million domestic business travelers and 1.3 million overseas visitors. These visitors contributed more than $11.8 billion to Chicago's economy.

Mnot, as usual has no idea what he is talking about.  No conception of who goes to Chicago or why.  Really just a troll throwing insults

Nowhere is there more droolingly imbicilic trolling displayed here than by you.

It is hardly an insult to point out that a great deal of HI s economy is tourism, nor is it insult to point out that presidential libraries are almost all located in the presidents state of birth.

Nobody gave a fuck how many tourists flowed thru Abeline KS, where you can walk over the graves of Ike and Mamie, then go next door to the bar there and have a drink.

It is where he was born.

Can you say Hyde Park?

Interesting points.

It is not that I would not like to go to HI.  Funds are limited.
Even once there- I understand the prices are high.

I have never been to a presidential library.    The closest would be a university library govt repository.

I wonder how many here - have BEEN to a prez library?

Wind, maybe all the ushers in the Obama library could be made up to look like Rod Blogovich and "sell" tickets at the door.

I couldn't possibly add anything to that if I tried.

By the way, didn't you used to live in Alaska?

That's quite the move, you now being in Hawaii.

Fla, go easy on the Beaver, it's WAY past his bedtime and he's cranky when he's tired, the Sandman should be around momentarily.

His grandma said he was born in Kenya. I don't know too many grandmas who lie. Besides if you located it in chicago or hawaii it would lower property values.

Talking with him, yes.

Or haven't you noticed that everyone who disagrees with him is either an idiot, a moron, or a troll?

I think I was being rather gentle.

Why would you highlight that? Do you think there is something odd about Japanese and Korean Tourists in Hawaii having poor to zero skills in English?

Whats rude about it?

Mnot attacked PA for being correct. Far more people would have the chance to visit the Obama Library if its in Chicago.

Mnot attacked with a clearly incorrect statement, that is really kind of stupid. Yeah, No one goes to Chicago except to see ballgames.

Are you lefties realy so delicate that a little snark gets you all upset?
