The Tea Party succeeded in getting the GOP's ear in November.  They splintered the party and threatened the GOP's cohesiveness.

Now a Democratic version is emerging.  Hispanics have felt taken for granted by the Dems and ignored by the GOP.  Nobody here needs to be reminded that Hispanics are a large bloc and growing quickly.  http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/nov/28/leaders-swirl-around-idea-tequila-party/

Dearie me. Poopey's going to bust a blood vessel when he reads that, isn't he?

Steven, the Dems already have a "beverage" party, it's called "The Kool-Ade Party.
It's just like alcohol, you drink it and you get stupid.

LOL, popeye.  The Dems' plans are unworkable, but the Republicans are flat out insane,  They're still claiming that you can cut taxes indefinitely and reap infinite returns from doing it, even after Bush demolished a strong economy by doing that.  (And starting two wars.)

Pops, I'm gonna say that's the fire blackened pot calling the new kettle black... Seriously, the early followers of Rush called themselves "Dittoheads"

You know "Ditto Rush"

They were too unimaginative or just plain IGNORANT to come up with a thought of their own so they would just call his show and say "ditto"

Of course he wasn't: poopey's an independent, not a Republican.

Hill, are you serious or just fucking with me?
I don't think anyone in here would argue that I'm one of the most outspoken posters in C.M.
I think I listened to Rush Limbaugh two or three times years ago. I thought he was boring. I really don't know that much about him except that he drives the lefties apeshit so that's a good thing!
Right now I'm making meatballs and hot and sweet Italian sausage and a big pot of sauce (gravy) and listening to Dr. Michael Savage who "isn't" boring.
Don't worry Hill, I have my own opinions exclusively.
Now,...what will it be, angel hair or ziti?

I went with the ziti, great batch of sauce too, the secret is to put a couple tablespoons of sugar in it to take out the bitterness.

Gosh, golly FL, that certainly was rude.

Is there really any reason for that?

Can't we all just get along?

Come join me in a few verses of Kumbaya.

Good for them! If you want something done you have to do it yourself. I hope the Tea Party realizes this too and separates from the Republican Party as well because just like Hispanics in the Democratic Party, the Tea Party has no chance to accomplish it's goals now that they have been co-opted by the Republican/Washington establishment.

Now Hill I know you are concerned with the truth, so you need to be corrected.

You have the ditto thing wrong. lots of callers would start thier calls with little diatribes about how pleased they were to be on the phone, and giving compliments to Rush. So they started just saying Ditto THEN getting to thier points. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rush_Limbaugh_Show#Jargon

It is used as an insult by some folks. They change the meaning and use it as an attack. Like your doing. Some know and do it anyway, others are simply ignorant of the term.
