Status: offline 		how do you know a real dominate male from a fake one?im sure anybody can act like they a dominate male and tell you what to do lol. so im wondering how do you know if there real or not?

What I want to know is why are you asking Dominant women how to recognize Dominant men?? They don't usually need to know that piece of information for Their purposes. Why aren't you asking that question in "Ask a Master??" Plus, the terms "real" and "fake" are subjective at best. Just sayin'.

Everyone's idea of "real" is different. Figure it out for yourself. Though, i'm more into Dominant Males as opposed to Dominate Males.

superhorny, I looked at your profile before answering your questions.  Glad to see you discovered all of this and I hope you have fun.  You will make less mistakes and learn a lot of practical things if you read SM;101 by Jay Wiseman or The Loving Dominant by John Warren. 
 
You are right, many can act "like a Dominant male", especially online.  You are looking for a girlfriend to have wild sex with on weekends, right?  Nothing wrong with that. 
 
I have known a few real Doms in my time.  They were responsible, protective, and knew something about leadership.  Not the type who grabbed at new toys, broke them, tossed them out and grabbed some more...to break and toss out. 
 
Why not read those books (got mine from Amazon.com and ebay), start with some bedroom games with a girlfriend and see where it goes from there.  Something sleeping inside of you might wake up and will answer all the questions of why, and what is real.
 
Fakes...I usually think of people coming here and being deceptive about what they really want.  If they want to cyber, there are others here at CollarMe in the chatrooms who are into that so they don't need to misrepresent themselves.  A lot of people are cutting their teeth on this in a way that makes them feel safe, and to those of us who do this in person...it can be easy to call these people fakes.  I have been trying not to, lol.  I see nothing wrong with someone saying they are new and not being sure about who they are at first...fakeness comes into play when someone misrepresents themselves or is playing games with others without their consent. 
 
The rest is a matter of compatibility, experience, and morals. 
 
I am a Domme/switch who chooses not to sub.  I do not go looking for Doms, nor try to decide if they are real or fakes.  Some are just friends of mine. 
 
It is the male subs I have to watch out for, lol, to see if they are sincere, compatible, or are just here to get wank fodder at my expense.

Usually with a journal entry like the following, they tend to be pretty fake

I think you are confusing Dominating with Domineering.
You could sound like Barry White for all I care, but if you
don't have the strength of character to follow it up with,

It's "be DOMINANT" dammit, not "be dominate"!!!!

Dominance isn't something that someone chooses to be. It's something that comes from within. It's like saying that i chose to be a blonde, i didn't. i was born that way.

You are oversimplifying the traits that are required to be a good, qualified and respected Dominant. If all you want is a little slap and tickle with your sex, there are probably other places better suited to you other than CM.
