Actually, because of where local events are held in the city we live in, and because of the hours of the events and things like choice of clothing and distance of parking from the event facility and the fact that SR and I aren't trained in martial arts and don't attend events armed (believe me -- not as outrageous as it sounds in some of the neighborhoods downtown here), when SR and myself attend local events (both of us as dominants, but also as females), we typically request escort from the security provided by the event organizers for things like going from the event to our car afterwards (especially if we've stayed late to talk to folks, and most of the event crowd has gone), or going outside for a smoke. Sometimes, we take one of our more physically adept friends (male or female) with us, sometimes we ask event security to provide escort -- but being safe is just plain -smart-. It doesn't intimate that we're weak or helpless... just that we have really -good- common sense.

I think the point everyone is missing especially in My posts, is "protectorship" is asked for--not assumed everyone or anyone needs it---its requested and when it is, its provided.

i found my Mentor more because of Who She is than what i thought i wanted. i met Her online, through a friend. She literally reached out and grabbed me to make sure i would be safe when i was meeting a new Dom. That penetrated the depths of my soul. With that much care from Her, i feel safe in seeking Her council, opinions, advice and even sometimes reprimands.

Personally, i like it that She's a Domme and i'm owned by a Master. Her being the same sex and not interested in me as Her submivissive adds alot to the trust factor for me. Plus She has extensive experience with the lifestyle both on a personal level and even professionally. When i seek Her council i take all of this into consideration, but i also understand She's human, and that my first priority is with what Master thinks and wants.

i find O/our relationship extremely helpful and supportive of my relationship with Master. He and i are both deeply grateful for Her wisdom and friendship.
