Some are, some aren't. Like everything else, really.

But I'm curious about the op's statement that he hates everything that comes from children. Does that mean he hates himself and every other human? Since adults do come from children.

And I don't think he has to worry about having children. I can't see any woman in her right mind picking him for a father.

Haha, it never fails. Anytime I make the comment that I hate children, there's always that one supergenius that inevitably points out...the obvious.

And I agree completely, DesFIP. I'd make a terrible father, for obvious reasons. I have no legacy I wish to continue, I'm not looking to live forever through my children. I'm content adopting animals from the local shelter.

So fear not, my dislike of children is a trait that is racially self-correcting.

men are not the only ones who can piss standing up or aim to piss. Women can do it as well if they took the time to learn(ok most women)

I'm not jealous, but then I quite like being able to piss standing up. I'll take that over having kids any day, frankly.

I sometimes envy penis's and wish I could experience having one that's not fake, but not very often.

I think that men having childbirth envy is about as likely as women having penis envy.

It can be easy to lament that someone "else" holds all the cards- but I prefer to think that "I" hold all of "my" cards.

If everyone was a shoe maker- then who will bake the bread?

Is bread better then shoes?    Are shoes better then bread?

Same thing.

I truly wish I could have a blow job.

Not oral sex, I mean a blow job the way men get them, having it stick way out there, with all those nerve endings spread out over all that square footage of skin, not all concentrated into a pea-sized, neurotic-minded button, with a big, shouting, ball-batter spewing orgasm pretty much guaranteed without any effort.

And then zipping up and going on with my day, not changing it's diaper and breastfeeding it. *sigh*

Okay... you're making me experience a bit of penis envy here, too!

But you did have just one small part wrong....

I firmly believe that if we men had to give birth there would be no over population.

The human race would vanish in a couple generations.

I don't think the greater percentile of men want to be able to give birth.

Around age 40 tho- the   explosion is muted.    So   figure a young 18 for that.

Prostrate trouble is the pitts for sexual pleasure.

Why would men be jealous of the Women being able to reproduce? We are perfectly capable of reproducing… but it does take two to tango, and that applies to both sexes.

I think the real question is: are men jealous of some mystical/spiritual aspect of pregnancy and childbirth. I can’t speak for all men but for me the answer is – Hell no!

I suspect that I do speak for most men when I say that we are perfectly happy with our role in the reproductive process:

Step one: Wham! Bam! Thank you, Ma’am!

Step two: Wait nine months.

Step three: Stand there and say, “breathe honey… breathe.”

I would also like to comment on two other matters touched upon in this thread:

First, women are perfectly capable of peeing while standing up… it’s just really messy.

Second, men are capable of having multiple orgasms. I know this from personal experience.

Well this topic reminded me of that terrible film about a man having a child.

Thanks a lot.

So I was re-watching one of my favorite movies, Up In The Air, when the know-nothing know-it-all young gal accuses George Clooney's character, and all men, of being jealous of women's ability to have babies.

Now this isn't the first time I've heard this statement. My adopted mother, a very extreme feminist, firmly believes that cloning is man's attempt to take reproduction from women. Or something.

Now she's just retarded, so I easily dismiss her ramblings. And me, I am perhaps an anomaly because I absolutely hate children and all that comes with them. So my opinion is obviously jaded. But that notwithstanding, I can't see anything envious about the childbirth process. To me, that's like envying the guy that gets an alien bursting from his chest. I would never ever want the ability to have children, ever ever ever.

But for everyone else here, have you heard this belief before? What are your opinions?

I don't have kids, I don't want kids, don't get me wrong, I love children but I like to borrow other people's children and give them back spoiled...

Do I wish guys could have periods and get pregnant? Hell, fucking yes, because then they would possibly understand a bit more and wouldn't be such dicks when it comes to condoms, why should we have hormone treatment that plays havoc with our system when you guys can simply just use a condom but how many complain about the loss of feeling... Oh FFS, have a few painful periods, run through the gamut of mood changes the pill can do to you, not to mention the health risks - you don't want to use a condom? That's fine, grow a bigger dick and go and fuck yourself...
