i am convinced that Mrs. Claus runs the show. She's got Santa running around like mad for the greater part of a cold winter night, while she's- doing what? Sitting by the fire, drinking eggnog, and playing around with the elves.

I didn't want to give my opinion until I heard some of yours.... No one has picked "switch" - but that's MY choice. If you're naughty, he goes into Dom mode to punish you. If you're nice, he goes into sub mode to please you and satisfy your every wish.

Hey! The guy has only ONE chance to do each person. That's why I vote switch. For each person on his list, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty or nice, Santa Claus is...... er..... SC must make a decision as to rewrd or punish said person's entire behavior for the year WITHOUT knowing orientation of said person.

So, SD, let's assume you are picking something to give me as a Yuletide gift. You know that I've been naughty, so I get a lump of coal, right? Now, does that make you a Dom? Sure you decided for me and decided that I should get coal.

If you know I've been nice, you want to give me positive reinforcement, a little more difficult, so you have to turn to my letter to Santa. Wehter I'm D or s-type is NOT revealed in said letter. It contains only what I want to get as a present. You read "our" contract to see your instructions. You follow my instructions to you, delivering teddy bear, dolls, blocks, balls, or whatever I told you to deliver. Sounds kinda subbie to me.

Back to your confusion..... of course, D-types use positive AND negative rewards. Positive ones to encourage continued desired behavior; negative rewards to dampen un-desired behavior.

Can a sub reward or punish the Dom's behavior? Well, of course. LOL!
