Interesting perspective.

What I saw was Rice backpedaling from her pre-Iraq War positions and trying to rationalize and justify when it it is now clear she was wrong.

Status: offline 		Hehe.  Another Sarah Palin she isn't.  It was a good response by Rice.  Not only does it show her loyalty to the administration she worked for, she can almost make the Iraq war seem sane and justifiable.

Now she wants to claim that there was no way of knowing if Iraq had WMD's which is an utter lie.

The UN weapons inspections team found nothing and said so.  The administration that she is so loyal to forced them to leave the country before they could have finished the job and conclusively determined that.

Status: offline 		I believe the Iraq war was as warranted as the torture they used during that war (or, err...wasn't it determined that waterboarding wasn't torture ).  To be sure, I still think the Iraq war was a disaster.  But I did have to snicker a bit over the way she refused to be made into mince meat pie by Katie Couric.

Status: offline 		More than the snicker to her response (not the response of the war, or the loss of life during the war), let them take offense to Condi's quick wit.  I'm not snickering over the war on Iraq at all.  I'm snickering over the schooling session.

Status: offline 		Thanks for finding this very cogent argument for doing what was done.  I particularly liked the quote of Ms. Rice about what you know today can't affect what you did yesterday.  Hindsight is always 20/20.
