It reminds me of that old story of the guy who falls into the hole... I have a few on hide, mainly because they have proven over and over again that they are A) here to spew hatred, B) live to just piss people off with their stupid conspiracy theories about everything, C) only post news links because they can't come up with something original, or D) their grammar, spelling and/or typing skills make my eyes hurt to try to read it. And I don't mean the folks who don't speak English as a first language....I'm talking about people who are just too illiterate to be in possession of a keyboard. Actually, there are a few also that fit the above criteria, yet they don't post like the others do, so they are pretty easy to skim over. If they were to start posting more, I'd hide 'em. Weak? Yeah, whatever, at least I'm in good company.....nods to sunny! [;)]

Idiots abound, and not just on the CM fora. I, too, like to know what they are up to. It provides some needed humor in my stressful day. Toxic people, and especially toxic relatives who one cannot easily avoid, are another matter. You have to learn how to deal with them with getting toxic yourself. Sometimes that means ignoring them. In general, I would say anyone who experiences a toxic tremor to something a stranger said on CM is taking things way too seriously. And perhaps spending too much time here? There is a great, big, wonderful world out there.....go enjoy it.

Who is everyone responding to in this thread, anyway? I'm missing something... Seriously, there's only one person I ever blocked here. One of the most exasperating right-wing idiots over in the Politics forum. I blocked him for several months, because his favorite trick was to take over every thread he posted in and turn it into a whinefest about how all the nasty liberals were always picking on him. I didn't block the sonofabitch because I hated him (although it's true that I did), but because I found that the threads were much easier to read if you took his posts out of them. Block out his crap, and suddenly threads that had been nothing but flamefests were suddenly about whatever it was that they were about. I was amazed at how well it worked. You could just read them continuously, from beginning to end, without having to mentally edit out the whining. Worked wonders.

I think I've only ever blocked one, years ago, a guy that fancied himself a sheikh or something. I allowed him to get to me. I learned from that to not allow anyone here to bother me. Idiots are here for me to laugh at. Some times asshole are my favourite posters. I haven't even considered blocking/hiding anyone on here since that first twit.
