wash the walls
polish anything metal
clean all the shoes
clean behind the stove and fridge
wipe out all the cabinets

is this really that hard to come up with a list of chores?

Nope. You are wrong! Whether or not D-type has sense of style or not, and whether it is a special event or not, s-type does it to make sure the D-type is making a good presentation of xirself.

First time D-type hears, "You look especially nice today,"  D-type will think "I've got a winner."

IF s-type needs lessons, there are all kinds.   One of my favorites along these lines is packing for trip.  There are numerous on-line (and off) resourses.

PROTECT THE PROPERTY!  Which might just include reputation and appearance (and clothing) of D-type.

  • Clean and polish all boots and leather footwear.
  • Clean and care for all leather jackets, chaps, harnesses, caps, belts etc. with cleaner, dye, conditioner etc.
  • Ensure all canes are clean and in good condition for use (soak if needed, shellac coat, etc.)
  • Inspect and condition all toys (floggers, whips, paddles etc.)
  • Ensure all ropes are inspected, coiled and packed properly.

For formal Households:
  • Polish silver and trays
  • Clean and arrange glassware
  • Clean and iron napkins and tablecloths

Bathrooms, kitchens and floors should always be clean.

Nice extras:
Auto-detailing (wash auto exterior/interior/wax)
Landscaping
Painting
Organizing

I know Households where the sub also has a boy, and so there is a definite pecking order in the house.  It doesn't necessarily make you a Domme, it just establishes a hierarchy in the House.  Occasionally, Sir brings another boy or girl into the Household for an afternoon or so, and they automatically go to the "bottom" of the pecking order, since I am the more "senior" servant.

I used to live in NoCal.  And I'm sure there are quite a few in S.F.  I wasn't unique by any stretch!  Maybe I just need to get off this wreckedly cold East Coast and head back to where all the good times were had! :-)

So true.....and most of the time, those varies duties are performed when my Sir/Domme are busy with other things or away from the home. I rarely clean the house "in front of" someone/under their direct eye.

Ok, I can't say that my life revolves around *making his life easier*, but if he gave me an instruction, I'd be doing it (dishes?...probably while mithering about not wanting to, quietly under my breath)

Some of us do stuff because we're told to, not because we are wriggling with glee about making life easier.

Still, I'm great at saying * You look nice today* ..lol

Sounds just like my routine.  I also cook all meals, pack his breakfast and lunch, do all the dishes, keep track of bills, paperwork, and vet care.  I lay out his clothes for him in the morning, and when he comes home there's a set of lounging clothes ready for him to change into.  I give him a back massage every couple of days, and rub his feet after a long day of work.  He's out of a car ight now thanks to our recent accident, but I'll be responsible for changing to oil and doing routine maintanence on the new one.  Oh, and any money I earn outside our home goes to him.

Sure......... Now you tell Me. 

I'm actually a good distance off from SF.    I've visited, of course.  I was quite mesmerized by the architecture.  I could have been content just to walk through the city appreciating it.  Of course, with so much to do there, most people wouldn't have that very high on their list.

I will say that I have fond memories of visiting the Eagle there.  Which, I'm sure has much more to do with the company that I was keeping at the time.  Nothing like good times with good people.

Hi girl

What's even better than hearing it from you is when another Dom/Domme compliments your Dom/Domme on how nice they look!  Nothing made me happier than to hear another Domme rave on about the job I did on my Domme's boots.  I was so pleased when my Household's family members came over for a visit and asked about their housecleaner, because they were so impressed with the condition of the house. 

Everything we do is a reflection of them.   If my Dom/Domme(s) are wearing scuffed boots, it not only says that they don't care about their appearance or their leathers, but it says that their boy doesn't either....and it says that they don't seem to be aware enough to make sure that their boy takes proper care of it.  All a poor reflection of both parties.

I think people forget that we are talking about relationships - of one variety or another.

Hi sunshine...
well, all work and no play makes Jack a very dull boy!  When I was married to the woman who was also my Domme, we spent PLENTY of time together doing all those other things, too.  It's all about balance.  Even when I was a live-in for a few months, I had loads of "recreational" time.
