I think some of you are being a teensie harsh on the OP, who is showing a desire to learn, which is why I gave him the book list.


He's been given suggestions for learning on some of his other posts. He doesn't appear open to doing so.

More importantly, you set the rules up to fit the person and we can't seem to get that through his head. If the person he winds up with is a professional housekeeper, why should he be telling her how to do things that she's better at than he is. Would he give cooking instructions to someone who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America?

What you do isn't designed in a vacuum, you don't dominate a vacuum. You also don't set up a fantasy idea of a d/s relationship and expect the first sub you meet to plug into the space you made. It doesn't work that way. And we're getting tired of trying to teach someone who has made it clear he doesn't want to learn.

Going through the car wash certainly. But a bucket and a sponge on the driveway will give me black ice that won't melt till spring. Not something I want to deal with.

Exactly. He's trying to find some stereotypical relationship and insert a sub to be named later.

Reality exists and it will impact how that relationship functions. Not everyone can afford to support a partner that stays home and cleans house. (and unless he's an exceptional 19YO, my guess is that he can't) In a relationship where both people work full time, the sterotype that the submissive will happily scrub the house from top to bottom during her free time, likely won't happen.

I don't do chores, I do what any responsible adult woman that maintains a house does, I clean it, daily. Why is that a chore? If you ask for something special, why not things like having her wash your hair, give you a scalp massage, shave you in a sexy manner, or get a list  of your favorite meals and cook  them for you? Laundry and dishes are just common sense. 



Funny thing about this.  I do still call them chores.  I think it's just habit from calling them that from when I was a kid and then on to dealing with My own kids.  After forty years of habit, it's just what comes out.

No no I get that LadyP., what I meant was those daily chores are just that, daily things that need to be done. I don't see it as some special submissive chore to make the bed or do the laundry, it's been my sidekick since 7th grade. ,  It seems like he was asking for some magical submissive chore task and I found it odd.

When it's your own house, that's normal. When some D that you don't live with expects you to do it at their house, that's something different. He's looking for a list of chores for some submissive to do when she is at his house.

Lists and rules fetishes are often unintentionally humorous, there are some real doozies, one was posted that had over a hundred rules, like 135 of something - but some people like having expectations laid out like that without any wiggle room presumably.

I like it when they wiggle...

Status: offline 		One thing I havent seen and, frankly, I'm surprised. Several people have mentioned washing the car but can't because of the cold weather. I TRULY appreciate a sub that will go out and scrape the windshield and turn the car on so it's toasty before I have to go to work.

Status: offline 		Like so many people have said... figure out what you need done around the house, or things they could do for you personally. In terms of rituals that go along with all this stuff, is where you can become a little creative. None the less, you also have to balance that out with reality and practical measures.

There's a difference between somebody cleaning house dressed in Skimpy sexy clothing, no clothes or regular normal clothings. I imagine some people that are into paperwork and such will even have a daily check list that needs to be checked off, but not everybody is into this.

Also, consider what extra touches can they do? Ranging from air fresheners, putting your slippers in a specific spot. Perhaps waking up to a cup of coffee with the newspaper sitting next to it. Again, this stuff varies a lot.

It's not what you do, but how you do it and to what level or degree. Hope this helps you a little.

Status: offline 		Have her/him do a research on a certain subject (ie table setting)... I used to do the research myself and teach her the way I like it. Now, I am thinking about her do the research and briefing me on it.. Then , I would go into it and do the details for me.

Have them clean your house naked.  Massage your feet with their hands and tongue.  Clean up the bedroom before going to bed and prepare a movie, drinks, toys, etc...

It depends if they are naughty or nice........
I am sure you have heard the mirad of naughty and nice suggestions.....
but what I think are gender roles, by "old fashion standards," could become what you consider "good chores."   Unless of course she is not into being outdoors,  or garbage or trash or garages or even basement work benches..................

then there are always the impossible chores... unclogging a toilet or sink..............
