I did rebute it. I wont do so again. I asked you to show me within the laws referred too where it says what you claim it says... NOT what you THINK it says.

You failed.

Hell you couldnt even respond to the following..

quote:

Title 22 USC (Foreign Relations and Intercourse) Chapter 11 identifies public officials as foreign agents.

Your claim, above. which i responded with

quote:

Which part? Subchapter 1 or 2?

And you still havent answered. But, guess what, Subchapter 1 was repealed. And its not located in Chapter 2.

TITLE 22 > CHAPTER 11 > SUBCHAPTER I
SUBCHAPTER I—GENERALLY
•§ 601. Repealed.]

Section 2

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/22/usc_sec_22_00000611----000-.html

You want to get pissy because you claim i dont understand? go right ahead. The only thing i dont understand is how your mind got such a warped interpretation of what you posted... oh wait... yeah i do... its because you were told to believe what it is you believe, and not in any law school.

when you summarily dismissed everything I posted I summarily dismissed your answer, but on that point I will have to investigate, I see what you mean.

I heard on the grapevine that many of them walked out on the reading today huh?

Well, seems they read an edited version, not the full Constitution. As a result, Clyburn refused to participate... cant blame him considering part of what they left out was the section classifying slaves as 3/5ths of a person.

As far as people walking out?

quote:

For the first hour of the recital the Republican side of the chamber was full, while far fewer Democrats occupied the other side. After an hour, the number of Republican listeners also declined.

I am all for reading the U.S. Constitution in Congress. However, the recent Repukelicans have ignored the Constitution for a good part of the last 10 years. When Repukelicans hero,George "Dubbwa"Bush was President, the Repukelicans basically ignored a good part of the Constitution. The second Amendment seems to be the only Amendment that redneck Repukelicans seem so quick to defend. The rest, well, thats just good storytelling.Which reminds me,just how far back does the Teabaggers want to take our constitution to?They clearly dont believe that the constitution needs to be modernized from time to time,to deal with the reality of an ever evolving country.Maybe we can go back to the glory days of the constitution. We could go back to slavery, ignore a Womens right to vote.We can have "colored" water fountains again. How about that Teabaggers,at least be honest with your ignorant reality.Dont try to "cookie cutter" your real sick demented reality of what world you really want to live in.You know, the "good old days".Remember, when only Rich Straight White Males had the "life",while everyone else was screwed.

Taz, honestly you are arguing with an idiot who does not understand that a man can a father, a son, a cousin, and an uncle all at the same time, as well as being part of more than one family.

Who also lies.

anyone can read the title 8 section 1418. Heres the link http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/8/1481.html

anyone can see the idiot is lying.

I found it interesting the parts they choose not to read, What a waste of time, what a great way to waste the million dollars plus a day it takes to run the house.

And here they got everyone to believe they where not going to waste money and look day 1 a complete waste of money

And as for the every bill has to be paid for, they dropped that the second they realized killing the health Bill will add billions to the debt, and as far as being "OPEN" I quote the new leader  "I did not say every bill would be open to the public, I said some would be open"  But if you look back at his speeches he promised an open policy with discussion on every bill, killed on day 1

And look how many want to repeal the new health bill, and ignore the following facts

Members of Congress on average receive a $700 a month taxpayer subsidy for their private health insurance plan, which they can choose through a highly regulated exchange offered by the government. The federal system mirrors the reforms enacted by Democrats and President Obama, which end health insurance abuses by regulating coverage through an exchange, while offering subsidies to individuals and small businesses to make coverage more affordable.

-fast reply-

Has anyone ever noticed how "pre-pubescent" responses tend to be around here and on other political forums, hell even the current raft of "journalist" tend to behave like obnoxious 7 year olds.

The name calling and disrespectful tone of many arguments demonstrates that a good number of folks here are already qualified to sit with the present breed of politician located in the halls of Washington.

I for one think they should be required to do things of this type with the dawn of each new year. Perhaps it will help remind them that many American's sacrifices have been far greater than the mere dedication of a few hours towards the memory of the common good and the reason they're supposed to be there.

And to imply this is nothing more than grandstanding in itself is redirectional political grandstanding. I personally have hope that in time that our elected officials will be up to more than superficial nonsense, but I imagine that depends on how "We the People" focus our vision and voice our approval, as well as our disapproval.

Perhaps we should all remember that the credibility of our discussion lies within it's substance and presentation.

Perhaps they should be given an exam, similar to the citizenship exam, and including the Constitution, U.S. history and economics.

Those who can't score at least an 85 would then be sent back home to their districts and a new election held.

While I'm not always sure when your comments are intended to be sarcastic, this is a good point. It does seem the rest of us are held to standards of conduct, expertise and sobriety within our jobs and often due to legislation they create. Some form of accountability for them doesn't seem all that unreasonable.

I'm not sure if a new election would be needed, but if they can't meet a prescribed standard perhaps they should not have the right to cast votes until they can achieve so, perhaps not be allowed on any commitees, and they should certainly need a high score to chair commitees.

Apart from all this, I believe that traditions that remind us of who we are and where we came from are vital to ones memory of purpose.
