I want to meet a partner; maybe I haven't been here long enough, but I'm optimistic--I would say the quality of men here seems much higher than other places I've looked for non-vanilla.  But then an awful lot of them disappear when I give them my coffee ultimatium.  (The part where I say "let's meet for coffee" for some reason that seems to be a hard limit for quite a few people, although they never mention it upfront.)

Just a curiosity on my part:

How do you use collarme?  Is it a tool to meet people?  Do you primarily look for discussion in the forums?  Do you use it to keep in contact with others?

Thanks!

Yes to all of the above.

...It began as a tool to meet other in the "life", to understand and learn how and where I fit into the scheme of things, to obtain valuable knowledge,  found it to be an excellent way to understand differing viewpoints, differing lives and styles and to appreciate them all.I have gained a great deal of respect for certain posters.I now like using it as a tool to meet others in my own state wether it is for a potential relationship or to meet awesome friends I would otherwise may have not met.I have not used it for the chats or the games portion..I may have to explore the game portion ...if and when I get the time for it..For now the forums are my favorite part of CM....be well..Tempting

All of the above.

I have used it to meet people, as local meeting are rare other than the "regulars" at our munch and locals generally don't pan out anyway. I have met several people from Collarme face to face, some as friends, some that have joined us but for one reason or another and it didn't last and fairly recently one particularly unbelievably successful long distance imported relationship. Actually the two most important people in my life I met on line, so I am the eternal optimist that it works if you give it a chance...well and if you do that "kiss a lot of toads/frogs" thing..lol.

I like the forums for several reasons. There really are some words of wisdom out there, even though you usually have to sift quite a bit to find it. I like the fact that you can share ideas and thoughts and even though you may not always get a positive response, it does challenge you to think before you post. Also it's nice to be able to offer advise for situations that experience has given you insight and where you may be able to help the person asking the question along, saving them from having to live through the same experience. I'm usually not that social, maybe in part because I just don't like most people too much (not sure actually)...lol, so being able to converse on the boards gives that luxury of being able to communicate, without having to worry about being invited over for dinner.

I used to use the chat room, but as with many chatrooms there seems to be more hello and goodbye conversations than anything of real substance. The games..well I know they are there....lol.

I use it for fun, friends - have met some good ones, relationships - doing well with that currently <winks at my boy>, education, discussion, expanding of my mind and point of view, and the occasional martini from truesub.

edited to add that CM is turning into a dry state, or true is on the wagon?

Over the last two years, I've posted two personal adds. Initially hoping to find the woman of my dreams, a combination of good trusted long term better half and a cruel sadistis witch, yet safe sane and consenual of course. However I no longer have such expectation and currently just browse these posts primarily out of boredom. So if it happens it happens, if not then atleast I haven't wasted my money on some paysight.

Boredom killer, since I deleted my profile... some of the discussions are interesting, but my nasty habit of playing Devil's Advocate tends to make people either dislike me or just ignore what I post for the most part...

I use CM for meeting people with similar intrest and the forums have beens some what amusing. I innitialy joined the forums to read and post in the creative writting section. However, the writting forums are no more. Now I'm just stuck with discussions and meeting people from time to time.

Hey fellow men. Are any of us going to be honest enough to admit that we also use CM to just look at pics of women with no intentions of contacting them or reading there profiles?

To advance my political agenda, and recruit new soldiers. Once I have a sufficient army, I'm planning on taking over the strategically important and militarily defensible Palos Verdes Peninsula. Eventually I'll establish a new world order, where Masters and Mistresses can walk their naked slaves freely as they crawl at the end of a leash. Drive through "toy" stores! Public dungeons on every corner! Outdoor play areas, that double as children's playgrounds by day. ( Wouldn't it be great to have the use of 'monkey bars' for anchoring bondage?) Today Palos Verdes -- Tomorrow the entire South Bay!  They'll be a meeting of the faithful at Lou-e-Louie's today at 4:00! Hoping to see all the graduates from he Merc "Grand Master" School.
