ORIGINAL: littlewonder I see resolutions as a set up for failure. This is highly a matter of personal perspective, of course; i.e. it's all in the mind and has everything to do with the power of positive thought. You either "resolve" to do something, or you don't. If you think you can, you probably will. If not, then no. But then, this is true of most of the rest of life as we know it, n'est ce pas? Interesting. I knew a group of people who talked about resolutions as the thought and intention as the action. They were very intent upon their resolve. There was a huge snow storm once and they were intent upon getting to a briss. I'm not sure if a certain number is required or they wanted a certain number because of house size or what, but despite the snow storm they had exactly the right number. It was teh people who were intent upon their resolve. I remember talking with one of the women who was so clear. No, we made this decision, and we are going to make it happen. Do we need to borrow a four wheel drive? Do we have directions? Are we dressed properly, etc. It was really amazing to see how her focus got so practical. Best, sunshine
