PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama is Americans' Most Admired Man of 2010, substantially ahead of the former presidents, iconic religious leaders, and others who fill out the top 10 list. Obama first became Americans' Most Admired Man in 2008, shortly after his election as the nation's 44th president, and has held the title since then.

I had to laugh because even the Republicans picked him second, above Beck.

Hillary Clinton is the Most Admired Woman this year, her ninth consecutive year at No. 1.

Clinton has dominated the Most Admired Woman title for most of the past two decades, earning 15 No. 1 rankings since her first appearance on the list in 1992. She joins Eleanor Roosevelt and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis as first ladies whose strong popularity has extended well beyond her husband's presidency, although, given Clinton's post-White House political career, perhaps for different reasons.

General rule with polling is that it gives information mostly about the people questioned. So, what we should conclude? People out of touch with reality?

In the 2nd year of his Presidency, Bush was Most Admired by 28%.
Wonder what the racial breakdown of this is?

Racist voting patterns. Sorta like the voting patterns of Catholics? Jews? Whites? Southerns? IF what you claim is true, then any time a black politician steps forward to run against a white politician, the white politician will always lose in areas that are predominantly black, and win in areas that are predominantly white. Got proof of that?

tg, I don't think there is any serious person who can claim there isn't a strong tendency for black people to "vote black". It's just the way it is.

I would feel very comfortable making book that at least 90% of black Americans voting for MA man in the above poll voted for a black person, and that at least 90% of those voted for either 0bama0 or MLK....

Theyre 12% of the population more or less. Not enough to sway sometig that much.

Deal with it, Obama didn't win just because of the black vote. He won because of the "Dubya is an idiot vote"

In other words, almost 80 percent of the 1019 people asked admire most someone other than President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Actually, that percentage is higher considering that the poll combined both people's first and second choices.

Don't you just love statistics?
