Because they have done them for years and years. The trends are interesting to see. I didnt post this poll to preach that Obama was the second coming. I wasnt going to post it at all until i saw where Beck came in. That part was funny, in a political kind of sense.

Understood.  Beck's position doesn't really surprise me... then again, there were many, many people who did not "come in", at all.  I suppose it's all down to how you care to view it.

Uh...........yeah.

Because stating the obvious is well, uh, pointless, if you ask me.

Good for you.

I viewed it as i stated, both directly to you and in the OP. You have chosen to see it as a slam against Obama and Clinton.

I'm not sure how you got that from my comments.  I don't see it as a slam to anyone.  It is what it is... which in my opinion is not much of anything worth noting, at all.

If you don't like glenn beck, don't watch. See, this is what gets me about our compassionate caring leftists loving the first amendment. They love free speech for themselves, but want to cut off speech from anybody else. They will call it "hate speech" to do that. I love true free speech. I want leftists to caterwaul all they want. I love the Internet. A leftist says something stupid now, and it is posted on you tube and goes around the world a minute or two later for all to see and laugh at them.

I love the internet too.

There are all kinds of stupid things to laugh at.

The big surprises for me are:

1. How low Michelle did.  I had just assumed she was well liked - she is definitely a media darling.
2. How factionalized the GOP is on the most admired men list. Bush leads the pack, and only got 11% of the vote.  Limbaugh is off the list, and so is every other current GOP pol (although Palin of course made the women's list).
3. The only drilling down the pollsters did was by political affiliation - not by gender, age, race, or any other criteria.

The problem is that there is so little to be "admired" about anyone in public life, so the vote gets splintered.

I wonder who'd have got the vote if there was a transgendered category?
Glenn Beck might have done better in that poll: with all of the weeping and wailing, he could well be a drag king.

"I have spoken to and heard many whites say that as long as we have a bi-racial (black) man in the white house, nothing will get done"

You must run with a different crowd. I haven't heard anyone say that.
