I would agree with that, but it excludes the people who can and do change. Fact is, you can never know who will and won't change, so forcing them to undergo a medical procedure is immoral in my eyes, not to mention illegal. Now taking away their children, on the other hand, is a completely viable option, one that needs to be used more often than it is. People, if you have witnessed children being abused (I don't mean "daddy spanks me sometimes" abuse, I mean serious neglect), please, please, please, please, PLEASE speak up. Call Childrens' Protective Services. If they have nothing to hide, an investigation won't hurt. It's always rough, but keep in mind that these kids can't take care of themselves. They need an adult to speak up for them.
