sorry, un aware of any educational or scientific institutions that have yet to support the "truther" movement...or maybe that's all part of the conspiracy

Ah,.....just because you can't "see" them doesn't mean they're not there!

My arguments against climate change are not against climate change but against man-made global warming. There are natural solar events, one of which is beginning to gear up that cause climate change. It happened in the middle ages and perhaps we don't know enough about accurate and scientific weather data dating back that far to be certain this isn't the most direct and simple answer to the equation. That said, the climate has certainly changed, decade to decade and year to year for some time now and it seems actually that the seasons have shifted slightly.

When alot of the "scientific" data is full or errors, or downright lies it discredits the scientists who do the research...and that is unfortunate. I am very pro being a good steward of the planet and I work constantly in my own life to find better, greener and more efficient ways to live, however, I don't think this needs to be legislated as an excuse to create widespread taxation.
You're just regurgitating shit that has already been debunked, multiple times, both here and on other forums. I'd be really interested when you naysayers come up with some actual scientific evidence that the climate isn't changing, or that human-produced greenhouse gasses have no effect whatsoever on Earth's climate.

I've been waiting for years, but all you guys ever do is recycle the same old shit.

But I thought conservatives were for limited spending

onless of course the spending is related to our ability to kill people

that must mean that climate change is real if they're willing to spend so much to do it....

Too bad this is a youtube thing.  My ancient, crippled lil computer cannot do anything that needs Adobe Flash Player or runs like a movie.

I was interested in ths, because I thought I understood about the greenhouse effect theory but...I just spent almost the entire month of December snowed in.  I am used to getting just a dusting that month, or maybe an inch that melts off by the next day.

Guess I will have to go under search and look under greenhouse effect in past threads to see what everyone had to say.

Do you understand the greenhouse effect enough to know that just as the glass ceiling traps heat in, adding Billions of tons of unburnt hydrocarbons in the atmosphere also traps in heat that would normally escape ?

Do you understand the effects of warmer air in the sky ? Do any of the deniers or apparently meteorologically-challenged here on this board really understand the effects of warmer air in the earth's atmosphere ? Apparently not.

Warmer air holds more moisture and that means larger rain and snow storms...period. Get used to it kinkroids they will get a whole lot worse.

As for those deniers on this board how's this for your sacred science ? A lake in Canada remains thawed in winter three times in 100 years. Now that same lake has remained thawed in winter 18 times in 30 years. ALL I need is a fucking calender.

A REPUBLICAN, for-profit, right-wing capitalist governor of S. Carolina saw the ocean rise and kill his trees and all he needed was a fucking ruler.

Oh but they are all just Gore followers hey ? Wait till future generations remove their gas mask long enough to spit on our graves...they will be joining us sooner, rather than later.

Hippie, like the 9-11 "Truthers" any information that it brought up by,...."the other side" is simply "discounted" by the "global warmers" if it doesn't fit into their pre-determined conclusions. "Arguments" can go on ad infinitum and ad nauseum.
The slightest scintilla of info can be said to make one's ..."case."
Plus, there appear to be many "factions" among the numerous groups of..."global warmers", "climate changers" etc who,....."recycle the same old shit."
Add to that a "hostile attitude" towards *anyone* who doesn't believe as they do, i.e "non-believers."
And the defacto "leader" of this...."movement" has become a cartoon character who covorts with hookers in hotel rooms in various cities and buys energy gobbling yachts and mansions.
And to top it off, they allie themselves with....the "United Nations" a corrupt organisation who *always* seem to have a new money scam comming up to transfer wealth from Western countries to third world countries!
If I had a "cause" I wanted to promote the *LAST* people I'd want to be involved with it the "U.N.!"
Is it any wonder that people don't take this "movement" seriously? That people take them as Kooks?

Oh, hell.  A reasonable person.

You'll be run out of the thread in no time, as the true believers impugn your intellect, your reasoning and your motives (you ever buy gasoline for your car?  You fucker!  You are supporting the Big Oil Companies!  It's obvious that you are an evil thug and heretic and must be destroyed!).

Anyone who uses the term "deniers" in the discussion about AGW is - by definition - a religious believer, and bereft of the slightest understanding of the scientific process.

Bullshit, to deny is to deny both the science and the logic. If you mean scientific research, that is always ongoing and we have now entered the 6th decade of computer research on the effects of unburnt hydrocarbons collecting in the atmosphere and the resulting greenhouse effect...trapping heat in the air that most forms our weather.

We now have massive sat. 'eye-witness' to the reduction of the pole ice. The measurements I have written on this board don't even require science, just observation and to deny that is simply ridiculous. To what extent human domestic and industrial activity contributes is a matter of what we burn. What we do know now is that [it] contributes massively to the greenhouse effect and has for a lot more than 60 years and is only getting worse.

4 billion-ish years of planet, 150-ish years of climate records, and a smattering of factoid points that go back some thousands of years. How many ice ages, and glacial periods, and cycles between them? What I keep waiting for is one of these brilliant scienceticians of the faith to own up to what a data set of (1) is worth.

Is it perfectly reasonable to assume that all the gases and heat we generate can add up in the atmosphere, and have an effect? Sure. Does that require us to get on board with a collection of power mad geeks who claim they have this climate stuff all figured out, and because they brought a message, they get to be in charge now? Nope.

I would agree with it. There should be clear scientifically justified plan if we want to reduce global warming. Imposing New World Order tax will not do anything but transfers wealth. An interesting fact is Russia, Canada USA are fighting behind the scenes who has the right to drill for oil in the Arctic Sea that is liberated from ice.
