Status: offline 		I find it amazing when I read some of the so-called "submissive" or "slave" profiles, and they start out with a phrase stating that their a submissive or a slave, and than start DEMANDING things in their next sentence! 

I'm sure it's obvious to the people who are genuinely involved in this lifestyle, as opposed to the weekend "Rope and Cuff Dom's".  Contradicting profiles just scream FAKE

Just as you have your preferences for someone whos highly sexual and into orgasm control and cages just push your buttons...

Us sweet submissives have standards like no married men, or dont be stupid...

I get your frustrated that your not finding what you seek, however you might have more luck if you treat the people your attempting to get to know as if they are still human beings with rights and choices and the ability to deny someone if they arent compatible.

Also try the horse and buggery munch on prince street  at the prince street cafe....I believe its still the first friday of the month, get out meet people REAL LIFE instead of only using online means.

Status: offline 		If you're reading the profile I think you are, it HAS to be a joke.The 40 yo guy who weighs 270 demanding that his Mistress be a size 2 or less and no more than 25, and support him fully, as well as doing cooking and her fair share of housework?

You know, my idea of a dominant man is someone who doesn't need to complain in order
to get my attention. Would it be fair for me to now deem you as a FAKE?
I would think it's more obvious that those genuinely involved in the lifestyle wouldn't bother
to take the time commenting on a profile that doesn't attract positive attention.

I was hoping for a good old witch finding/burning thread.....

Hes a fake... no SHES a fake the whole shebang...

i think often there is a certain amount of confusion about what she thinks she wants, especially if she is newly awakened, so reading a profile with some contradiction isn't a put off for me


if i understand her reasoning then i have a start in training her to be what i want

after all it is she that will have to make most of the consessions

if that sounds sexist, tough


there is no perfect dominant the best she can hope for is close and that he can make her adapt to the rest

I'm not pointing finger's at any particular profile.  What I'm doing is making an observation.

It's ridiculous for anyone to think that I'm singling them out.

Your observation is that you know more, and know better then EVERY other person in the entire world because what you think is what everyone thinks...

The reality is if theres a million people practicing D/s theres a million ways to practice it. Just because they arent right for you doesnt mean they arent a perfect fit for another person.

I find putting what i seek in clear concise terms helpful to my search... I demand a partner who is honest and trustworthy... I will not get involved with a man who doesnt fulfill these demands.... It doesnt make me less subly, or any wrong it means I know what I want, Im not going to settle for someone who isnt what I want, and I will stand by what i seek....

Status: offline 		like spirited radiance said -- just because someone is submissive does not mean she doesn't have standards. like it or not, D/s is a two-way street. and before any person has accepted you as her Dominant, you really don't have justification to gripe about how she words things. if you feel that it's a compatibility issue, simply move along.

this seems like it's leaning dangerously close to another debate on "true subs" and the definition thereof. =p let's please avoid that, thank you.
someone you see as being a "fake" might be the most real person in the world to someone else. and visa versa. someone here might see you as a fake, but to the girl who accepts your collar, you're as real as day.
"fakeness" is usually just a way to say "not the way i want it to be."
as with anything else in life, it's totally subjective.

at what point do you say close enough?

everyone wants someone trustworthy so to put it in a profile is a wast of bandwidth, because if they aren't would they admit it?

reminds me on the clown I met who claimed his weight was 286lbs and when we met it was in reality 450-500lbs
and stated in his profile the woman not to be more than a UK size 12 *snort*.

seems to me a slave/subbie is a doormat for at least one individual

the best definition i have been able to come up with for doormat is "any subbie more submissive than i am"

doormat is not a topic of conversation among dominants
