I thought you said the fed was owned by the government. If so-- then it should not be a problem.

federal reserve notes are debt instruments- not assets. look at one and read it- it is not units of silver per the $ which is what dollar stands for... with $20 being an ounce of gold.

where is my gold? I want it now.

And this is the result of Repub idiocy. If they cut medicaid, expect to see an outflow of population to states that care about their citizens. Texans are already, in aggregate, dumber that a box of rocks. They can't cut education any further and expect to maintain any semblance of an economy.
