FR HEY, I'm the one who mentioned that in the other thread. So everybody jumps in while I'm at work. Now don't anybody mention that underground nuclear testing acts as a giant subwoofer and changes the climate pattern(s). Hush up about the fact that every launch of a space shuttle destroyed as much of the ozone belt as if every ounce of freon 12 was expelled at once. And don't even think about our river that burned, because it is cold enough I'm thinking of lighting it up again. Being a half century old (never thought I'd make it), it is amazing to know all the technology that already existed before I was born. Nuclear fission, satellites, TV, computers (not quite what we have today) and a whole lots of other things. Electronic ignition, fuel injection, inductive heating, electric cars, and a whole lot more I can't even think of right now. The technology boom happened between about 1935 and 1975. The rest is mostly new applications of older inventions, not much more, really. T
