Way to go right wing nuts......got what you wanted. How does it feel?

It feels like Disneyland, or Chicago.  Pick one.

Shrugs, So what you are saying is that as long as you didn't actually hang a black man in the south then you really had no part in the apartheid that existed?......Spin it for your benefit DS, don't worry, your buddies will be back on radio tomorrow to spout how they aren't responsible.

WTF?  I never DID hang a black man in the South.  I never WAS in the south.  And I did demonstrate for civil rights way back when.

Tell ya what.  You quit holding ALL whites responsible for the acts of a few, and I won't consider you a racist.  You know, those people who make blanket, untrue assumptions about others based on skin color.

You'll note that in my previous post, I stated that I had never listened to right wing radio personalities.  I'm not a fan of them for several reasons.

Good lord, try not to take things so literal. Didnt accuse you of anything....nice to know that you don't think a society has any responsiblity for what its leaders decide and do.....which is complete horseshit. But, basically what I have come to expect from you

You accused me directly of being someone who eats up Beck and Limbaugh even after I told you that I never listen to them or follow them.  Then you said that Whitey is responsible for black lynchings, all of us, which I took to be a racist comment which ironically accused me of racism.

I have no idea where we addressed whether a society bears responsibility for its leaders.  In a Democratic society such as ours, of course it bears responsibility for attempting to control its leaders.  That said, I voted twice against Bush and wrote letters to Congresspeople opposing TARP, and don't feel I should single handedly bear the entire burden of some of our leaders' decisions.

If you mean by "what you expect from me" to be disagreement with you, expect it in the future as well, and from others.  Get used to it.  Kinda like free thought in a free country.

Yeah figure she felt the same thing.....and, yet, she is dead...

So you are suggesting that she should have presupposed a link between the Tea Party and an as yet unknown killer?

She did object to the Palin crosshairs, and Palin kept them up.  Palin's now backpedaling furiously (for someone who hates being challenged, this must be galling).

She's not dead and I pray she pulls through this okay.

So let's see what comes up.  Remember when the entire country was ready to lynch Muslims after the OKC bombing, and it turned out to be a crazy white man?

I agree.  That guy is racist.

You have, as a nation, a simple choice; either do something meaningful about gun ownership, rather than tinkering at the edges, or else accept these kind of events as the price of having a gun culture.

Rapier, I don't understand why you don't seem to grasp that we have made our choice. Thank you for your concern, but we're content with our decision.

He wants America to be just like Britain.    A broken down place where nothing works and there is a class system, with no Constitution.

He has DS all wrong.

DS is one of the more rational people in the world.   He is not hateful or vindictive.

pahunkboy -> RE: Arizona Democrat Congresswoman and 11 others shot (1/10/2011 6:22:16 AM)

In wake of Giffords shooting, the mere act of questioning the government now being demonized In the aftermath of the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson yesterday, the mainstream media is now desperately trying to blame the attack on “anti-government” sentiment. USA Today ran a tabloid journalism piece that selectively cherry-picked certain phrases used by Jared Lee Loughner in order to create the impression that he was some sort of anti-government nut.

The "progressives ten year history of hate" - a primer: http://thurly.net/8qn

This is a must read catalogue of the hard left (you know, democrats) history of hate. All they want to do is shut up any questioning of them. As for me, I say let them speak! I love the Internet and You Tube. See stupid leftists say and do stupid things! See, leftists like the first amendment for THEMSELVES; not so crazy about it for others.

Agreed.  Nobody has an obligation to post in threads that they don't care to post in.  If I started a thread entitled "willbe and truckin are the greatest people ever" or "willbe and truckin are scum of the earth", I'd imagine they'd post in it.

Any way that you could tie that thought in with the topic itself, the shooting of Giffords?

Following the principle of Occam's Razor, and assuming this is not a cruel hoax* (the link to Jared is only a week old), an interesting possibility suggests itself!

Of all days of the week- I get less email on a Sunday.   It is anyones guess as to why.

Marc2b -> RE: Arizona Democrat Congresswoman and 11 others shot (1/10/2011 7:00:36 AM)

One of the things that I enjoy about not having a cable or internet connection at home anymore is that my weekends are much more relaxing and pleasant. But then I re-enter the real world on mondays and find out shit like this. I see that the usual, agenda driven, babbling nonsense has already begun. I can only hope that whatever gods there are will bring comfort to the afflicted and justice to the guilty.
