OMG! I have lots of ideas and experience in this area.
Home depot has been mentioned. I'd like to add Tractor Supply and any tack shop. If one learns to do basic leatherworking, making things that would normally cost hundreds of dollars for only a few is possible. The basic tools are not expensive and the necessary skills are easy to master.
Jay Wiseman wrote Sex Toy Tricks and Supermarket Tricks, two wonderful books on the subject. Kinkycrafts by Lady Green is an awesome book as well.
A boot lace through a wiffle-ball makes a ball gag that allows subbie to breathe easier. Saran wrap can both bind and mummify. A Handi-Bundler has unlimited possibilities for 14.99! Clothesline comes in pink and only costs a few bucks. Rope of all types is cheap. Five boot laces (cheap as shit by the spool at craft shop) plus a D-ring equals a pocket flogger that stings like hell. Thrift stores sell clothing that is disposable clothes that can be ripper, torn, modified, etc. Horse grooming things provide abrasion sensation. BenGay applied to sensitive parts can really get attention. Fly-swatters sting like hell. Paint stirrers make great paddles and come in two sizes...for free! A majorly intense suction device can be made from a large syringe. Needles are cheap at livestock supply stores. Tack shops sell crops for a few bucks as well as dodging bats (my personal fav). Wire brushes make for a brutal spanking (a buck at Harbor Freight).
Get the above-mentioned books and let your imagination be your guide. Much of the fun is creating pain and restraint from every-day items. PM me if you want the directions on how to make a suction device from a 50cc syringe and a coat hangar and I'll send you pics.
