ORIGINAL: Charles6682 In all fairness,I am not a big fan of Tom DeLay anyways. However, considering Charlie Rangel got off with a slap on the risk, why is Rangel sitting with Delay in their own cell together? I'm not sure if this is an answer, but Rangel was investigated and reprimanded by the House Ethics Committee, while DeLay's investigation was done by a county jury trial. The question is of course WHY Rangel's investigation did not extend outside the House. I think it was mostly because DeLay's actions were clearly illegal and Rangel mostly was guilty of a bunch of violations of House ethics rules. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he was eventually prosecuted for some of it.
