Indeed....during my final placement I had three times the honours of taking part on a information fare where you get lots of advice and information and....most importantly...PENS.

One of them was in november 2009 and on that same day I went home to my parents....I did not mind to leave stuff such as cups at my parents house but I made damn sure to have my pens with me on my way back[:)]

that mean woman on the airport demanded to check the weight of my hand luggage (I expected that as she had seen me checking that area where you go to when you get your stuff and body scanned, to check if they still have that disgusting habbit at that airport...as thats not even the case int he UK)....anyhow...it was exactly their "generously" permitted 10kg but only as I had stuffed my 40-50 pens in my various pockets on my body [:D]

Also after I took part the 3rd time on such an event my placement manager meant to me afterwards "you got plenty pens"....well...I KNOW, thank you [8|]

which just reminds me...have to register for the next job fare in february (skipped the one from last november due to still not knowing my uni outcome for sure) to go there again with a friend [:)]

And at a previous job where I did regular night shifts for over a year one colleague made a snarky comment a la I would always watch my pens...[sm=Groaner.gif] when I took it back away from her as I was about to leave my shift....well, if you don't watch them they will be gone, even she should know that *snort.*

Not my fault that my various work places had no pens most of the time but still expected us to fill out countless forms during the shift, so I only made sure to keep my tool, to be able to do so [8|]

One of my quirks, which everyone thinks is so funny while I don't, is that I am deathly afraid of rabbits.

Yes, you heard me, rabbits, bunnies, hares, whatever. I am petrified of them.

They remind me of mice or rats with ears and those petrify me too.

Also, I cannot even look at a mushroom or have one touch any food on my plate. If I order dinner in a restaurant and I say no mushrooms and I see even one, I flip out.

Same thing with raisins.

Totally weird.

lol - that's good news!

I actually had two house rabbits when I was trying to sell my apartment. One poor woman walked through the door to do a viewing, then ran screaming when she saw a bun asleep on the fireplace. I started putting them in the shed outdoors for half an hour when I had viewings, hehehe

I used to be a big time office supply person.  Not so much anymore.  While I still love cool pens and stationary, My life changed to not having the need for other various things.  I still have the old supplies and the only time that I use them is when I'm running an event.

I'm going to stick with My quirk about washing the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher.  I could literally save Myself the water and electricity and not bother to turn the thing on.  It might as well be called the sanitizer and drying rack.

It's not super cold so I am always slip ons of some sort I also don't care much for socks.

I love to run around with bar feet, I avoid socks as much as possible. I might even wear sandals in mid-winter, if it is only a short errand.

I truely identify with traits and charasristics of dogs and cats. I see both dog and cat traits, more cat than dog in me.

You sound like my brothers...sure that we are not related...?

I tend to steal pens at doctors offices.  I used to do it when I was working for Radio Shack.  Once a month, my boss tells me to bring the pens back *sent some to my grandmother*

I love the drug reps. pens...they are usually thick and have a good grip.

Thank you for posting that sexyred. I thought I was the only person ever with a weird fear, which is silly but there you have it. I am deathly afraid to the point of having nightmares about....fish. Dead fish specifically, although I don't really like live ones I can handle them better than dead ones. I grew up very close to Lake Michigan and whenever my family would go there, which was often, there would be thousands of dead alewives lying around and I really really hated them.

there's one lake in lake county that got poisioned or something, and I can't remember all the details any more, but I guess Mercury got in it.

Where does that come from then? Were you savaged by a gang of delinquent raisins as a kid, while a bunch of mushrooms stood around laughing? :)

Yeah, that happens sometimes.
Alewives are plentiful in the Great Lakes and they have short life spans. Because there are so many of them when they reach the end of that life span so do many others and the beach I went to was littered with them on a continual basis. So it wasn't something that happened as a one-time thing, there were always dead alewives laying around. When there was a die-off season where large groups reach that end of the life span it's like a dead fish carpet on the beach and you cannot take a step without stepping on a dead alewife. Utterly disgusting. How I became afraid of them though instead of being like my female cousins who would throw them at each other I don't know.

My knives have got to be SPOTLESS! Like seriously shining like the stars in the sky. And tables, chairs, flatware when set have to be in perfectly straight lines, balanced and exact. I fold napkins (cloth) when done with them at restaurants, and help pre-bus the tables by stacking plates neatly for the servers/bussers. Being late, even 1 minute, drives me batshit crazy, punctuality is nearly a true and clinical O.C.D. behavior with me. If I say 6, I mean 6, I don't mean 5:58, I don't mean 6:01. I also obsessively collect music... Nearly 100,000 different individual songs now in my collection, and I need more. I also collect teas, chocolates and mustards. Not to be eaten together though >.< I have about 300 movies in my collection, and have maybe seen... 50 of them, ever. I sit in bed or on the sofa at night, writing menus, developing recipes and designing plating ideas, sometimes well into morning, forgetting about sleep.

When I was a kid  and the back acer was bone dry and the ground actually had cracks in it I would sit there and water the cracks, thinking the ground needed my tlc. And I made friends with a slug once an then my dad killed it an couldn't understand why I was so devistated .

I swirl my swizzlestick or straw in a drink when I'm nervous.

I like to walk barefoot no matter what the weather.

I have a habit of throwing things out because I hate clutter....and then realize a week later that oh shit!...I needed that.

calling my daughter everyday at the same time to see how she's doing and asking her a ton of stupid questions.

I'm sure I have a million of them.. I know I do because people are always pointing them out to me. I just can't think of any of those ones right now.

Oh my god yes! I have the polar opposite of a foot fetish, HATE feet... and even moreso, can't stand anything touching my feet. I only wear socks and shoes when I absolutely have to (like, at work). Otherwise, never! First thing when I get home, shoes and socks come OFF. Can't even sleep without my feet dangling off the bed, and god forbid there be covers touching them.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a phobia, but I have a definite aversion to the mail.  No, I don't mean junk mail or anything like that.  Just mail in general.  I manage to check my mail box a couple of times a month but hate doing it.  And I would rather drive 20 miles to pay a bill rather than to write a check and put it in the mail.
