ORIGINAL: YSG I spent a winter in Macon a couple years ago, and yes, its flat by my standards. Also, "foothills" refers to an area around a mountain range that doesnt have a high enough elevation to be considered a mountain. The Appalachians run through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky, which border Ohio to the east, southeast, and south, respectively. So yes, I win. However, I did not, and shall not, call you all ignorant and/or dumb. I do know a few smart southerners WTF! I grew up in the appalachian foothills of north Georgia and my family is from on top of Sand Mountain (its only about 1000 feet taller than the valley next to it) in Alabama. The Appalchians extend well into both Georgia and Alabama. Perhaps before making claims like this you should know what you are talking about.
