Not every conservative is a tea PARTY member, DomYngBlk.  I know the media and certain progressives would love to paint us that way but it just isn't so.

Even your leader...the mighty Obama...declared at the Memorial that what had happened was NOT due to rhetoric.  So...is it that he can see that what was being stated was wrong....or is he wrong?  Is he lying?  Or is he talking out of both sides of his mouth?

You're a shining tribute to President Obama's message in Tucson, YngBlk. Shining, I say!

Would you stop calling it the tea party. It isn't a party. They are all rank and file members of the republican party. They didn't elect anyone that wasn't republican.

They don't drink tea either. Tea is unamerican. The limeys drink tea, and so do the Chinese. Anybody who drinks tea in America is probably a faggot.

O'Rourke, yesterday. Not relevant in todays world. Nobody knows or pays attention to this hack.

Let me also add this in, since we have been given a list of right wing violent actiions:

•It was not the fear of conservative violence that caused Ann Coulter's speech to be cancelled this week.
•It was a liberal who bit the finger off a man who disagreed with him on healthcare.
•It was Obama-loving Amy Bishop who took a gun to work and murdered co-workers.
•Joseph Stack flew his plane into the IRS building after writing an anti-conservative manifesto.
•It was liberals who destroyed AM radio towers outside of Seattle.
•It's liberals who burn down Hummer dealerships.
•It was progressive SEIU union thugs who beat a black conservative man who spoke his mind.
•It's doubtful that a conservative fired shots into a GOP campaign headquarters.
•In fact, Democrats have no monopoly on having their offices vandalized.
•Don't forget it was Obama's friend Bill Ayers who used terrorism as a tool for political change. SDS is still radical, with arrests in 2007 and the storming of the CATO Institute in July 2008.
•It was a liberal who was sentenced to two years for bringing bombs and riot shields to the Republican National Convention in 2008.
•It was a liberal who threatened to kill a government informant who infiltrated her Austin-based group that planned to bomb the RNC.
•It was liberals who assaulted police in Berkeley.
•It was liberals who intimidated and threw rocks through the windows of researchers.
•The two Black Panthers who stood outside polls intimidating people with nightsticks were probably not right-wingers.
•Every time the G20 gets together, it's not conservatives who destroy property and cause chaos.

Let me also add this in, since we have been given a list of right wing violent actiions:

•It was not the fear of conservative violence that caused Ann Coulter's speech to be cancelled this week.

This week was apparently back in March. The speech was canceled because Coulter had nearly incited a riot in her previous speech by insulting a muslim who asked her a question.
quote:

•It was a liberal who bit the finger off a man who disagreed with him on healthcare.

Actually his finger was bitten off during a fight that he started. Legally it is entirely his fault.

quote:

•It was Obama-loving Amy Bishop who took a gun to work and murdered co-workers.

The murders were not political. Bishop had been denied tenure.

quote:

•Joseph Stack flew his plane into the IRS building after writing an anti-conservative manifesto.

Stack wrote things that could be taken as anti both sides. I should have left him off the list I presented.

quote:

•It was liberals who destroyed AM radio towers outside of Seattle.
•It's liberals who burn down Hummer dealerships.

ELF. Terrorists.
quote:

•It was progressive SEIU union thugs who beat a black conservative man who spoke his mind.

The ginned up Gladney controversy. To say there is strong doubt over who attacked who is an understatement.
quote:

•It's doubtful that a conservative fired shots into a GOP campaign headquarters.
•In fact, Democrats have no monopoly on having their offices vandalized.

property crimes. Really compares to murder and attempted murder.
quote:

•Don't forget it was Obama's friend Bill Ayers who used terrorism as a tool for political change. SDS is still radical, with arrests in 2007 and the storming of the CATO Institute in July 2008.

arrests for peaceful protests and sit ins.
quote:

•It was a liberal who was sentenced to two years for bringing bombs and riot shields to the Republican National Convention in 2008.

I find this to be sad in the extreme. The riot shields, which are completely legal (they were made from steel drums), were intended to be part of a peaceful demonstration to disrupt the RNC. The violent intent was reached only after the police illegally siezed the shields. But yeah it was liberals.
quote:

•It was a liberal who threatened to kill a government informant who infiltrated her Austin-based group that planned to bomb the RNC.

Actually it was a death threat on a long time friend who informed on other friends for money. Anger is a perfectly understandable response to betrayal of that sort. No action was taken. The woman was indicted based entirely on a single email she sent.

In short you can find a few instances of liberals doing bad stuff and even some violence but if you actually believe an outfit like newsbusters to get teh facts right even half the time you're as deluded as Loughner.

I will further note that no murders are in that list and only one even attempt to kill. Shall I total up the right wing body count from the list I posted? It's a lot higher than 0.

Thanks, CD. There are crazy libs running around here who seem to bookmark or memorize my posts (without ever learning anything, sadly), and I'd hate to confuse them. The poor things have a hard enough time as it is.

I'm rather surprised to see you joining a thread on media bias, Muse. You must have a ton to do right now, what with taking down the MLK decorations, and President's and Valentine's Days right around the corner.

I see what you are trying to go with, but I reject your comparison.

This week was apparently back in March. The speech was canceled because Coulter had nearly incited a riot in her previous speech by insulting a muslim who asked her a question.
So an insult incites a riot?  No...that was the excuse...pardon me, the reason...given by officials cowed by those who disagree with Coulter's take on things.

Actually his finger was bitten off during a fight that he started. Legally it is entirely his fault. Really?  Starting a fight with someone gives the other person the right to bite your finger off?  Does it give them the right to kill you too or do you think that most...though not all...juries would find some guilt in that?

quote:

•It was Obama-loving Amy Bishop who took a gun to work and murdered co-workers.

The murders were not political. Bishop had been denied tenure. And as I recall, Loughner's actions have been proven to be non-political.  They have been proven to be those of a nut...neither right-wing nor left-wing.  As I recall though, it has been the left who first tried to make them political.

The woman was indicted based entirely on a single email she sent.Does there NEED to be action taken before something is considered dangerous or is the threat of "imminent danger" enough?

What I find is that you attempt to explain away every single instance offered up.  I did not say I would bring murders to the table.  But I did intend to show that violence is not only a tool of the radical right.  And , unlike your post, I have not seen many of those on the right on these boards...except maybe the extreme right...step up to defend the actions of those you cited.  Can you show me in this thread where that has occurred...the defense of those you cited?

Another good article demonstrating that violence is not the sole purview of the radical right.

I fear you're projecting a bit. A university board deciding that paying somebody to give a lecture where she's likely to start abusing students on racial grounds is more trouble than it's worth is hardly censorship, I'm afraid. If Coulter's too stupid to see that shooting her mouth off like that can cause her to loose bookings, then she's somebody who needs to learn the consequences of her actions, not a victim of the evil liberal conspiracy.

As for the officials, they work in free enterprise, rather than for the government, and so by your standards must be in the right whatever they do. "Money talks" is the principle your country was built on.

What I found was that none of the cases you cited were quite how they were presented and that they simply didn't compare to the crimes and attempted crimes of Jim Adkisson, Byron Williams and Scott Roeder. I simply do not find a guy losing part of his finger after he punched a guy comparable to walking into a church and opening fire with a shotgun.
