FR According to Jeff Smith (The Frugal Gourmet), the original recipe for "Buffalo" wings was one 1/4 lb stick of butter and 1 to 2 tablespoons of Tobasco sauce. In a large saute' pan melt the butter and add the Tobasco, plop in wing pieces and grill over medium-high heat for 10 minutes turning the wings several times to coat them well. Serve with bleu cheese dip, and cut celery pieces. Quite simple, and very good wings will result, I know first hand as this was my "Superbowl" party staple for a few years. Since marrying my wife we've expanded the menu from wings to sausage scallopine, and or chili, along with wings, and chips and dips, but that gets expensive to do every year so we've cut back a bit and only do it every three or four years now. Still a good time is had by all when we host and no one ever leaves hungry. Gastronomically, Some KNucklehead in NJ
